Women – how do you deal and channel negative PMS energies?

One of my friend’s brother had ADHD and he studies martial art. This, apparently, really helped. His urge to move around a lot got tended towards something productive.
how do you channel your urge to be batsh*t crazy??? lol
I know it’s a beautiful thing to be part of something so human but I also feel it’s a punishment for dealing with this just because I’m a woman — I don’t want to hurt anyone, including myself.
When I PMS, my relationships with people, and myself, get shaken up.
Any suggestions at all? How do I channel my strong raging and hormonal energies?
aaaw come on people I’m looking for serious answers

  1. I don’t PMS. Never did.
Install a punching bag and buy some gloves, or take a kickboxing class. Good for you and helps dissipate aggression.

  2. I lock myself in the media room with a box of midol and a crateload of chocolate and play violent video games for a week.
    For reals.
It’s all about Halo, COD, Gears of War…they’re something about meleeing people that just really chills me out.

  3. I agree with Tracey. Do you not think this is a serious answer? I’ve never had PMS but when I get stressed physical activity is the best cure.

  4. 12 THINGS PMS STANDS FOR:
    1. PASS MY SHOTGUN
    2. PSYCHOTIC MOOD SWING
    3. PERPETUAL MUNCHING SPREE
    4. PUFFY MID-SECTION
    5. PEOPLE MAKE me SICK
    6. PROVIDE ME with SWEETS
    7. PARDON MY SOBBING
    8. PIMPLES MAY SURFACE
    9. PASS MY SWEATS
    10. PISSY MOOD SYNDROME
    11. PACK MY STUFF
    12. POTENTIAL MURDER SUSPECT

  5. I remind myself, as often as necessary, that it is just the hormones talking, and i have no right to take it out on my family or anyone else.
The only place I let it show is online forums. My posts tend to be a bit more strongly worded during certain times. LOL

  6. In my opinion, physical activity would be a good start. It is excellent for balancing out of whack brain chemistry.
Fresh juice (carrot, celery, apple) is good for you.
Make sure you get enough protein. Too much starch and sugar will set off a vicious cycle.
Tryptophan is a serotonin precursor and you can buy it at health food stores. I have had total relief of depression symptoms within 20 minutes of taking it. It is an amino acid; harmless and healthy.
Don’t allow yourself to say stupid things to people no matter how you are feeling. Your feelings will pass, their memories will not.
