Why does the world celebrate a false pagan holiday like X-MAS?

He wasn’t born on dec 25 more than likely around july or august. This is another one of the many false teachings of the harlot church of rome rooting in the festival of the winter solstice and Satrunellia all pagan days celebrated on dec 25. X-MAS is a false day that has nothing to do with christ and oh and btw he cannot be offerred up again.

  • false pagan? paganism is just as valid a view as christianity, atleast we dont claim that its real because unverified authors in foreign tongues say so or because we hear a little voice in our heads (people also claim to be abducted by aliens) if you actually read the bible youd see that yhwh endorses slaughter of infants, rape of virgins and forcing a raped girl to marry the man who raped her, the most modern forms of paganism say things like, if it harm none do what ye will… i mean even satanism has as one of its vital dogmatic principles as dont be stupid… i think somebody need to learn that before pulling the twig from my eye he should pull the log from his own (p.s. gnosticism)

  • Sigh – as a Pagan, I’m more than sick of this type of question.

It doesn’t matter to me that Christians created a holiday to fall on and near pre-existing pagan holy days. It doesn’t matter much to me that they’re celebrating Christ’s birthday even though it isn’t likely on his birthday – whatever, they set aside a day to honor their savior and they adopted some pagan traditions/customs into it. It doesn’t harm me any.

The only thing that really bothers me is those who insist on being overly vocal about the time of the year belonging to them only (“Jesus is the reason for the season” and that kinda stuff) and refuse to learn anything about their own history. But then, it doesn’t affect me or my life much if some folks choose to remain willfully ignorant.

Can we please stop fighting over the month of December? Can we just each celebrate our respective holidays and leave each other alone, at the very least? It would be even better if we could show a little respect toward each other – we could actually share in our similarities instead of focusing on our differences. Wouldn’t more peace make the holiday season more enjoyable for all of us?

  • Luke 1 says Zechariah was performing priestly duty in the Temple when an angel told his wife Elizabeth she would bear John the Baptist. During the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, Mary learned about her conception of Jesus and visited Elizabeth “with haste.”

The 24 classes of Jewish priests served one week in the Temple, and Zechariah was in the eighth class. Rabbinical tradition fixed the class on duty when the Temple was destroyed in A.D. 70 and, calculating backward from that, Zechariah’s class would have been serving Oct. 2-9 in 5 B.C. So Mary’s conception visit six months later might have occurred the following March and Jesus’ birth nine months afterward.

  • Simple, for business gain and for this reason: “For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; Â and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories.” –2 Tim 4:3-4.

Jesus is born around October for he died on Nisan 14 in Jewish month which is around March or April in American calendar. When he died, he was 33.5 years of age.

  • I agree and to answer your question of why they still celebrate…it’s because they don’t want to know the truth and want to continue with their deception.
