Why does organized religion cause separation while spiritual love causes union?

Doesnt ego seek separation and true love understands and seeks celebration of all there is?
Thanks so much for sharing. Peace, Love and Blessings!

  1. Ego and religion are not always mixed.
“Organized religions teach “their way or no way”, essentially dividing people into US vs. THEM. All religions do this, it’s why they are destructive- bigotry is taught instead of tolerance. ” — Completely wrong. Look into buddhism or any other non-deistic religions. Hardly any (if at all) are self-centered. Most are about attaining a state of inner peace. An idea which does not come with a cost or punishment for not following it.

  3. Hmmm,
I am a Catholic Convert, and I assume that you consider Christianity an organized religion.
Never in my time as a Protestant or now as a Catholic has my Religion caused separation from anything except sin.
My faith helps me enjoy all of God’s creation in the way God intends which is the Path to true happiness

  4. No,God wants His children(Christians) to love people enough to tell them the truth. He also wants Christians to not fellowship with unsaved people, they have a bad influence. He also wants Christians to stay away from people with false doctrine.
    Read the Bible.

  5. Ego is generally how we think and portray ourselves to others… true spiritual love is altruism and subduing the ego. Altruism is good and you reap the rewards yourself, too, ultimately.

  6. Not sure I can think that deeply at the moment, but from my personal experience, I have seen religion separate people but have also seen it bring people together who would otherwise have hated each other. I think a religion that teaches us to love God and love others SHOULD cause nothing but harmony, however, a religion worth living for must also be TRUE, so there will be differences of belief. This should not, however, cause separation. I do not make up my religion or my God. He reveals Himself to man, not the other way around, so I am compelled to believe what He tells me about Himself, and not water that down, but He tells me that His son died for the sins of the world and it is not my job to judge others but to live a life of love in front of the world that they might be drawn to Him through me. If that’s my religion and I live by it we should have no problems getting along even if we disagree on certain things.

  7. Silly rabbit! It is simple. Religion is man-made. Love comes from the heart. God is Love. Love is God. Religion is a device of man and is therefore flawed. Flawed logic provides chaos.
    ERgo … man-made religion = chaos.

  8. We are certainly potentially infinite and the very fact that we are always transcending ourselves and trying endlessly to find the rest of ourselves means, that we are made for God… that we cannot help seeking Him because we have in some measure found Him already and that we are therefore… “incurably religious.” #

  9. Because Organized religion is where the hang up’s, and the right and wrong are a heavy influance. Spiritual love is something higher, its something that the ego cant feed on, its something that makes us grow as people.
    Spiritual love is Allah’s religion
Organized religion is the human need to have a label/superiority

  10. Here is a quote I think you will enjoy that discusses this topic quite eloquently:
“I believe there is an important distinction to be made between religion and spirituality. Religion I take to be concerned with belief in the claims to salvation of one faith tradition or another–an aspect of which is acceptance of some form of meta-physical or philosophical reality, including perhaps an idea of heaven or hell. Connected with this are religious teachings or dogma, ritual, prayers and so on. Spirituality I take to be concerned with those qualities of the human spirit–such as love and compassion, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, contentment, a sense of responsibility, a sense of harmony, which bring happiness to both self and others.”
    -His Holiness the Dalai Lama

  11. Organized religion was created by man for the masses. It is imperfect!
Spiritual Love is of God. It is all that is infinitely perfect.
Man wants the glory for him. He wants to be recognized for his efforts.
God should receive all the glory from all his children. We should not keep one little smidgen for ourselves, not one tiny speck!

  12. Organized religion surrenders to the temptation of corruption spiritual love heals the wounds corruption inflicts.

  13. no ego seeks reinforcement, and separation into groups happened as a result of moving away from those who do not reinforce the persons Ego, True love understands difference is good, and seldom so different, so includes all.

  14. Dear Sir,
The organised religion is based on vested interests and ego of a particular religion and where there are vested interests and ego , separation is bound to take place. But spiritual love is based on the divinity and selflessness, thus causes union.
