Why does my county dispatch broadcast my full name and phone number?

I have a seizure disorder. I am also out of work as a Corrections Officer due to this. Every time I call 911 for my seizure aura (it turns into full blown and I need injected) they broadcast my full name, address and phone number.
I have had to change my phone number do to ex-cons getting ahold of it. To make matters worse our county made a link online to a streaming online scanner available to anyone with web access. Isn’t there something I can do about this?
Thanks.

  1. No it all depends on your county our county for Fire & Rescue calls will only dispatch the address, age, and symptoms however they have to get it in the back of the ambulance on the way to the hospital anyways so it appears your town dispatches that information so they can go ahead and have it ahead of time.

  2. When you call ask the dispatcher not to give out your name. Your address is needed and the nature of the call would be needed. There is nothing you can do about that.

  3. That’s not extreme. I’ve heard name checks run over the radio where name, address, date of birth, and full SSN were read over the air.
