Ascension Thursday is observed mostly by the Catholic church. It is observed as a Holy Day of Obligation for them. Most other Christian denominations don’t celebrate the Ascension.

can i say that as a christian i have never heard anything about this Ascension Thursday? i have heard of Maundy thursday which takes place thursday before Easter but never this. That could be a reason why many Christians don’t observe it because they have never heard of it. That isn’t to say that we do not beleive that Christ ascended into heaven or anything, but just that we’ve never heard of it.

The Ascension comes up every 3 days “eternally’ in the Rosary. The Glorious Mysteries to be specific.

Acts chapter one makes it clear that it was forty days and he ascended to heaven.

You cannot get most of them to go to church on Sunday, much less Thursday.

A lot of Protestants justify their laziness by saying that you do not have to go to church on Sunday
