Why do indian women put this little jewell/accessory between their eyebrows?

I find it cool and also the little earring they put on their noses but I was wondering if the other accessory has some kind of meaning(I just know it’s related to the third eye, pineal gland theory)

Is what you are talking about the ‘BINDI’? This we see as a red dot often times with jewelery on the forehead. In the Hindu language BINDI means ‘dot, a small drop’.
