Why didn't God send Jesus to be born before the Buddha, so as to have a head start on acquiring followers?

…Yeah….?
Or did the Buddha already foresee such a calamity, and beat him to the punch?

Buddha wasn’t a god … and I’m pretty sure Christianity has more followers that Buddhism

Yahoo, srsly.

You are the last to know that in spite of this time difference, the Gautama Buddha is indeed, a Catholic saint, and was made one in the 1100s

Christians will give you bible verses.. saying that Jesus was already there when God created the universe. It was an indirect mention though.
They will give you these verses: Colossians 1:16 that claims it was by Him (Jesus) that all things were created. 1 Corinthians 8:6 says that all things came from God, but it adds they came through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:2, 10-12 also says that through Jesus the universe was made. Psalm 102:24-27 refers to Elohim as the One whose hands made the universe.

The Jesus myth had to get a start from somewhere.

I don’t see how Buddha did anything in his time that hadn’t already been done by the ancient Jewish rabbis. But to answer your question:
Rom 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

JC Is right

Well… Jesus was in Judea, and Buddha was from India. Since Alexander the Great was already dead, there would be very little connection between either country.

im glad to see your a believer of God… in the email it kind of seemed you hated God

Buddha was started by one man. Siddartha Guatama. That’s all he was was a MAN. God had to wait for there to be no not one righteous for him to send Jesus. Jesus is the messiah. =]

your Q, itself is answering buddha was not God.Buddha ate mushrooms and suffered from diarrhea
and died.He was like any other human being.His followers had no clue after that.
JESUS CHRIST IS THE TRUE LIVING GOD.—–
1JOHN 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
He gives eternal life.Jesus bore your sins,shed His blood for you died and rose again and lives for ever.Believe this in your heart,God will forgive your sins.

Buddhism=7% of humanity
Christianity=38% of humanity
Buddha had a 500 year head start on Jesus. Jesus learned how (from holy men in India, some of which were Buddhists) to foresee and heal people (learned partly from the Celts). This was a major bonus in a time when medical insurance was non-existent. Buddha didn’t foresee, he philosophised, he didn’t heal, he offered sound advice, his path wasn’t wrong, it only lacked some of the practical uses of spirituality.
You keep waddling into religion instead of belief and spirituality. Belief in the Creator has no bearing on the religions that developed from their teachings which are not spiritual at all now, which are oozing with religion and virtually no spiritual connections (except that religion’s teachers pretend it is because they don’t know anything about using dreams and visions.)

Matthew

Jesus created Adam & Eve, long before Buddha was born.

Buddha was just a guy sitting under a tree. Even his followers know he has no power.
Jesus has the power. Around the time Buddha was sitting under the tree, the prophet Daniel wrote about Jesus.
Daniel 7:14
He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

Cause Buddha is Teacher of Gods and Men, Buddha since he has been perfecting his skill in previous lives was able to beat the Trinity.

For those who say buddah was just a man, STFU! If you do not study him and know what he did and has done then you should not say anything mean about him! For I am a buddah believer I have walked on the christian side to study the different cultures and habits. For I spent almost 7 years studding christian. In those 7 years I have read the entire bible, remembered multiple things and have disagreed with multiple things! I have also studied * and always have been* buddism for 11 years, also from this I have remembered lots of things, disagreed with lots of things. To fulfill my duty as a history teacher at a private school, I continued my study in different religions. Christians and buddah believers you have to understand there’s is just the same amount of followers for god & buddah! One may not agree with the other but it is true

Buddha is basically atheist denying the very existence of God and Soul. Christ is made Son of God though Christ called himself as son of men. He was made Son of a virgin. He was just made an illegal son. Christians made a mockery of his birth though he made always a faint protest by calling him son of man. Christianity is now what Christ preached. He like Buddha wanted to heal mankind of ignorance,hatred and superstitions. Both are brothers not like the Prophet or Krishna.
