Why did Jesus come in flesh? To create Christianity or to raise our Christ consciousness?

  1. For forgiveness of sins. Luke 4 look and see who reigns Earth. He had to come down and take the blame until judgment day comes. He came to show us how to go back home through following the feast of God

  2. Jesus came in flesh because he needed to die as a ransom sacrifice so that we could be forgive of our sins that we inherited from Adam and Eve. I agree with Micahel also because Jesus set a model that we should follow in the way he acted and what he did while he was on earth.

  3. There is no evidence of that, or that Jesus existed at all. The gospels all follow the Roman Mithra’s religion and was incorporated into the bible by its creator, Constantine the last insane despot Roman emperor.
    Practicing Shaman.. quantum physics rocks.

  4. The body and blood of Jesus was given to atone for the sins of mankind, in that, he was perfect and without sin.
For by by one mans sin [Adam] sin came to all mankind so by one mans righteousness – righteousness come to all mankind that receive his free gift, Also see: 1 John 2:1-3

  5. The Bible answers your question, Luke 4:43, and Matthew 20:28.
We can see in Jesus life a model for us to follow closely. The bible says Noah walked with God Genesis 6:9. 1st Peter 2:21 says we can follow Jesus footsteps closely.
We can walk like Jesus by preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom, which Kingdom will fill the earth with peace and justice.
Jehovah’s Witnesses would be happy to study the bible with you.
They print a book called “Come be my Follower” about Jesus life and why he came. They also print a great book called “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived” a chronological look at Jesus life, and ministry on earth.

  6. Neither.
” I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life ” Christianity is an abstraction. And consciousness does nothing. He is the Way, He is the Truth, He is the Life.
You want Jesus subservient to you. Won’t. work.

  7. I don’t think he came to create Christianity, at least not as we know it today. As already stated, he came so that we would be forgiven of our sins (that we ALL have and have not yet even done), and if we accepted his gift (being born again), live forever. But also so we could know him by communing with God “with skin on”. And he came to make followers of him (“disciples” – I’m one!), trying through his grace to follow what he taught and become as much like him as possible in our 100% man (flesh-limited) bodies. Man abandoned him and concentrated more on the things of this world, thus creating Christianity as we know it today (mainstream). So your question is hard to answer directly. He came to create Christianity as he intended it to be, which was not a religion, but rather more of what you might be thinking of as a Christ consciousness, and an absence of man-made religion. Love and peace in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior!

  8. Jesus came to the earth to save our butts. See God originally didn’t create us to just get old, and die, and all the other things that are happening right now. God’s purpose for us was to live on earth in perfect health, live forever on earth, become fruitful and fill the earth. But Adam and Eve, being stupid as they are, basically screwed it for the rest of us. Though, God’s purpose didn’t change, it just got delayed. So basically Jesus took the place of Adam. See Adam was perfect. and no matter who could sacrifice himself, Jesus was the only one that was equal to Adam.
Jesus came to the earth to provide a ransom for mankind, to be forgiven of our sins and to soon have everlasting life on earth.
See Adam took away our everlasting life, so Jesus basically gave it back to us.

  9. Jesus came in the flesh to defeat death. He died on the cross to forgive all sins… This began with Adam and Eve. Eve gave birth to twins. Cain and Able. Cain is satans son, Able is Adams son. Jesus came to earth and be crucified for all of us. The ultimate sacrafice to show how much he loved us. Can you imagine knowing how you are going to die, he took the hits, we recieved the healing. That is the ultimate sacrafice

  10. I think Jesus came to show us true way to God. But unfortunately we forgot about God as a result.
For me, the most important thing of Jesus`s life was that he taught:
    1. How to pray to God. Just think of every word of it. It sounds 1000 times better than todays christians want us to pray.
    2. His words “You can get what you ask for”
    3. Power of His Faith (Belief) – walking on water, healing, turning water into wine….
    4. Our relation to God – Story of owner of vineyard, who hired 3 men…
As for his death, I do not believe that God wanted someone to die as payment for sins. Do you?
His life deserves better attention than His execution.

  11. Jesus came for one reason: to glorify God the father.
This he did through his birth (the sacrifice started when he descended from heaven to earth), through his life (being perfect, blameless and sinless), and ultimately through his sacrifice on the cross and subsequent resurrection.
Through all of this, the true glory of God was revealed. God was prepared to sacrifice his one and only son so that the price for our sins could be paid and we could be restored in perfect relationship with him. That is one glorious heavenly father.
