  • 5 breaths a minute taken shallowly an slowly exhaled this helps me to relax an concentrate on my own body an what is going on within me and around me in a spiritual sense. This all aids my concentration powers of things around me and allows me to keep a clear head.

    in Buddhism, one is simply aware of the breath, whatever length it is, whatever the breathing rate.

    i think the longer the breaths, in general, the more relaxed one feels at first; but when one becomes more aware, one can feel relaxed even with short breaths.
