whats the point in opening chakras?

like does it make u have better health? and less stress?
well. are there any other benifets? like. could u combine them and have powers and stuff/ (not like in naruto. cause that is greatly exaggerated)
but i mean like.
that Qi gong master. who started a newspaper on fire. using chi.
well how do i learn to do that? or at least build up chakra/ki/chi/energy.
and how do i learn to control it?
i know how to open them. and i know what they mean. but how do i start. ‘playing’ with them. so i can learn for myself what they do.
any exercises you have in mind?
also if you dont know what your talking about do NOT answer. i know if u dont know what you are saying. EX. “put chakra in your hand. to heal yourself” load of crap. what chakra? why he hand?
so just dont do it.

Anyways, opening your chakras, the main benefit to doing so is that you will function better. You’ll be balanced, and can handle more stress than otherwise. You tend to be happier, and your body functions more efficiently. However, you don’t really need to have them open to completely utilize them. Energy can be used to heal (surprise) though not like you see in the movies. There is a way to do what is called “contact healing” and “distance healing” if you want to learn more about that, I’d recommend you look into Reiki.
Outside of that, the best way to get familiar with your energy to work with it is to lay on the ground, spread eagle basically. You’ll close your eyes and just feel- see where your energy collects, what temperatures it has, etc etc. Once you do that, you’re able to manipulate it more. For me, I don’t differentiate btwn the chakras, I just use everything en mass. So for anything more than that, you’d have to talk to someone else. But I’d tell you to definietely look into the reiki stuff.

The whole point of chakras have been misinterpreted especially in the Western culture and yoga teachers who are interested in making money by selling rubbish.
In true yogic terms there are no chakras. The idea here is a force called the Kundalini Shakthi which is supposed to exist at the base of the spine. Through meditation you are supposed to be able to move it up to your forehead. This is the final act of the Chakra philosophy known as “opening the third eye”. While doing meditation you are supposed to be able to focus in on each point of the passage. The whole philosophy is theoretical. It is more aligned to Tantric yoga which is very dangerous. If performed in the wrong manner you could go nuts.
Have practiced yoga for a long time. The real yoga not the Western junk that passes for yoga. Met many real teachers of yoga and not one of them had any inclination to practice “chakras” as you may want to call it. If you really want to practice it then find a fly-by-night, money-grubbing yoga teacher.

Chakras are whirling energy centers in the body that play a big part in our physical and emotional health. I don’t know why people are getting the idea that you “Do something” with chakras. They just ARE. If they are closed, they can cause problems so it is best to keep them open.
They are not associated with powers or religion or satan. The only thing to be concerned about is that they are functioning properly and that is it!
