What was the religion of Adam and Eve?

I was wondering, what do you think was the original religion of the first modern mumans on Earth? Monothism, polytheism, animism or shamanism or what? Also, do you have advice to websites or books that will aid me in reestablishing the original religion of Adam and Eve?
What period of history did Homo Sapiens first appear? Do we have any clues to their religious beliefs? If Adam and Eve, as science seems to indicate, came from Africa to the rest of the world, do native African religions give us any clues to the religion they practiced?
Are there any similar Origins or Creations stories similar to the ones in Genesis, such as a Garden and a Tree of Life?

  1. Adam and Eve worshiped the Lord. JESUS is God eternally, and the Trinity is true!
Jesus loves you so very much!
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what!
Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus to save you! It is impossible to lose or “leave” salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).
Please pray now: “Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!” You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die! 😀

  2. Adam & Eve walked & talked with God – they had no man-made religion, nor did they need one. They followed the commandments of God – PERIOD.

  3. too many ques in one….they were taught by God Himself…
satan imitates God sometimes so dont fall for imitations and separate your ques

  4. Adam and Eve believed in God. The God of the Bible. The God who created them, spoke with them, walked with them in the Garden of Eden, etc.
As for a book you can read to learn about this: the Bible.
Some believe that Adam and Eve came from somewhere in the Asia/Europe/Africa area, but no one really knows for sure. Some claim that there weren’t always all of our continents, but that they were once one big one, which all changed after the flood (see Noah’s Ark story)

  5. Adam and Eve had NO *religion* they had God himself….. God walked WITH them in the cool of the eve….. It was AFTER the famous *eating of the fruit* that *works* to show faith came into play…. What Adam and Eve had in the *garden* will come about again, but NOT because of *human* efforts but because of the return of Jesus…… go in peace… God bless

  6. I cant believe that cockdocker above David answered with JESUS. How on earth can someone worship jesus when he hadnt been born yet?

  7. Monogamy, Adam was screwed. She literally was the only woman on the planet, he had to eat the damn apple. He had to do everything she said cause otherwise he would get any boob or booty, ever.

  8. Adam and Eve had God. Why the heck would they need a religion? Since most religions teach the knowledge of good and evil, and they accepted said “knowledge,” they got kicked out of Eden for trading their relationship with God for a relationship with a religion.

  9. Adam and Eve talked with God face to face. There was no need for “religion.” There was simply a relationship, similar to that of a father and his children.
The divide occured after they sinned. Not much is known about “religious practices” before the Law was given to Moses, but as Cain and Abel knew which types of sacrifices were acceptable and which were not, there must have been some time of divine instruction. Even men like Abraham and Job were credited with rightouesness, largely because of their respect for God and their conduct. People basically knew right from wrong and were expected to follow it. The flood occurred because of sin.

  10. Adam and Eve had no religion. They were worshipers of God Almighty. There was no Jesus yet. No Muhammad.
They were surrenderers to God’s will (Muslim).

  11. Do you know what I love – how Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden to another already established group of people – so… who were they worshipping?
They didn’t worship anyone because it’s all stories written by people who had no concept of science.
Plus on a purely feminist level I resent being made out of a rib – Even in the beginning of time man wouldn’t give up anything that he actually needed for a woman! :p
Surely, if the bible was NOT written by blokes in high places to try and keep the masses calm and murder free – it would be more sensible to make woman first, and man would come from her.
I suggest you read Clan of the Cave bear by Jean M Auel if you ant a good historical fiction book – it’s about “cave people” and the time that Homo Sapiens lived alongside Neanderthals… Although a lot of the ideas within the book are now outdated it still gives a good sort of insight into the sorts or religions we may have practised in our earliest phases, but going back through 50,000 years worth of religious history is something we’ll probably never acheive!

  12. Yahwism – a form of monotheism.
The Biblical book of Genesis describes what deity Adam and Eve believed in and how their immediate descendants worshiped him.
Scientists theorize that homo sapiens sapiens (yes, it needs to be written twice) appeared about 200,000 years ago. Note, however, that this date has changed considerably over the last 100 years, and will probably change considerably over the next 100 years as well.
We have lots of clues to the religious beliefs of homo sapiens sapiens, as we are of that species. If you mean: the religious beliefs of the first true humans: no, science cannot say with conviction where the first true humans appeared, when they lived, etc. It’s sort of like basing everything you know about dogs on your knowledge of your own pet dog. Clearly, if you did such a thing you would make a lot of guesses about dogs that simply are not true.
Considering the span of time (200,000 years), modern African religions cannot reasonably be considered to be representative of religious beliefs and practices that existed 200,000 years ago.

  13. Can’t believe people still believe in this sillyness. If there was an adam & eve and there was no one else present then who eyewitnessed these events to record them?
Western europe adopted jesus because the middle east where he (supposedly) came from didn’t beleive in him. Jesus, Adam & Eve are all stories connected, and made up to instill fear to control people. Catholic church did a good job at doing that then, and it still does a good job today. Christians are the sheep that are tight packed in the herd that follow the orders of the dogs (priests/bishops) The sheep that break away are the smarter ones that think for themselves. and know all these stories are bunk.

  14. Adam, Eve and their family were taught directly by God, Jesus and other angels.
It was pure and direct. You can find answers to a lot of your questions at
http://lds.org and also read in the NT James 1:5

  15. I don’t know about any religions but, way of life yes. Religion is invented by man. Religion -a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny. Belief – to accept as trur without knowing. People belive that if you shouldn’t be able to prove your religion, over 300,000 thousand in the world and everybodys SO-CALLED god can’t win. I belive is was YAHWEHism but, I know Father was YAH.
