Since you identify as an ego you know not who it is that has it. Please leave God ideas out of it because if you don’t know who is asking you cannot expect help. Even devotion is insincere.
Govinda, most honorable, I thank you for such an intelligent good answer.
Although I do not follow the path of Bhakti-yoga or Karma Yoga I have studied the Bhagavad-Gita from both translations by Swami Prabhavananda and Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s translation is my favorite. (Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2 verse 45) “The Vedas concern is with the three gunas. Be without the three Gunas, O Arjuna Krishna spoke, freed from duality, ever firm in purity, independent of possessions, possessed of the Self.”
This is the technique of instantaneous realization; dropping the held idea of a separate self or the false ego. This realization is possible through reawakening inner vision. The imaged ego cannot stand under the scrutiny of observation. This is the meaning of surrender and wholeness with the universe.
