I know enlightenment inspired the American Revolution and the French revolutions, what other revolutions or independence movements did enlightenment cause or inspire?

  1. Good arguments can be made that the Enlightenment also led to the abolitionist movements in America and Britain, even though it was primarily led by Christian churches. The move “Amazing Grace” is a fairly well-researched and sourced dramatization of the abolitionist movement in England in the late 1700’s up to 1800.
