What is your opinion on the subject of afterlife?

Life after death can neither be proven nor disproved. This is because one would have to undergo physical death in order to prove or disprove it [and by its very nature, disproving it would not be possible]. There is no direct evidence against an afterlife. Its hard to imagine mankind would reach such a high level of consciousness of our own existence if it were all to end with this life. At death, the soul leaves the body & goes on to somewhere else and the spirit goes back to God.

  1. Well, I do believe in a eternal torment fiery place which is called hell while on the other hand I believe in a peaceful, everlasting joyful place called heaven.

  2. very good question. I think that there have been alot of near death experiences. I watched a show on the discovery channel that done a study on those people who claimed to had one. It proved that a lack of oxygen to the brain for a minute or longier can make the person see a light, etc..

  3. At death a person returns back to the dust that it was created from and waits in the grave till resurrection at christs coming for final judgement. Kind of like a sleep but not literally. Remember that in the bible it says that “the dead know nothing”.

  4. There is an afterlife, by definition. If you are no longer living, then it is “after life,” hence the term “afterlife.”
What afterlife IS, however, is what is debated by folk of religious and secular persuasions. Afterlife could be nonexistence, heaven, hell, reincarnation, or a beer volcano with a hooker factory.
You’re right, there’s no way to prove or disprove what afterlife is, but there are many people who have partially died (such as persons suffering from stroke, or drowned but are resuscitated) that may testify many different things about what afterlife is like.
To be honest, though, I’ve never heard of someone who has partially died and testified that nothing happened during “death.” It may have happened, but I just haven’t heard of it yet.

  5. I believe it’s like when you’re sleeping. You don’t know what is real when you are dreaming, but you can feel your own presence there.

  6. That it is not my place to force my opinions upon others. I lean towards reincarnation after 9 years of Catholic Schooling. I believe we all came from the same thing and we all go back to it. The bible says a lot of crazy things, but some of the things are not so crazy, and I sort of like them. For instance the “Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you” Where it says that “God is Love” is good stuff too. If you really read the bible there can’t be a hell because God loves and forgives for eternity so the concept of Hell IMO is just some make believe fairy tales designed to make people fall into line, and allow unjust forces to declare “Divine Right” and force their insane views upon others. If you really read the bible God Loves Satan, and he wants you to love Satan too, but no Christian I have ever met understands that. It doesn’t matter that they don’t understand it, because I am unaware of all the things that I don’t understand and aware of very few.
I always liked the concept that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. I do often wonder if my life is really just a collective dream our spirits are all having, and then I wonder if enough of us tried to make this dream better perhaps we could.

  7. As a Pagan I believe that when I die my spirit will be released into the cosmos and if I am so attached to a particular place I will dwell there peacefully–unless someone decides to do some renovation or demolition–being one with nature and the world. Whether I will be reissued so to speak and incarnated into another human or creature or plant I can’t say. I know Christians will say that my beliefs will send me to hell, but those are their beliefs and not mine.

  8. You have answered your own question!!! God bless you. It appears to me GOD created a very complex, sophisticated, mystery of life that will always exist. At the same time…there is a “After Life”…Read the
Holy Bible!!!! I just can”t express in words what I believe. But…with all my heart I believe in our Lord and Our God. What Say???????

  9. Death is an illusion. The state of matter changes in time but as time is a creation of the mind, there is no death.
It is like saying that when you blow out the candle, light dies or the candle dies. Yes, our bodies stop functioning as we have known them to function but this does not effect consciousness and awareness, as these concepts are not of the mind and body. We know this: why?
Because we can be aware of the mind and the body and the only way that is possible is because awareness is not the mind or body and therefore is not dependent on them.
