These are all excellent arts for improving the health of the human body, mind, and spirit. They all improve strength, flexibility, and balance. Pilates focuses more on the physical exercise of the body, while yoga involves meditation and more energy work. Tai Chi Chuan (also spelled Taijiquan but pronounced the same way) however is traditionally a martial art. You can look them up online. Yoga is a mind/body practice but good for toning the body without extra resistance…pilates focuses on strengthening the core and lengthening the muscles…tai chi is more mind than body with fluid smooth (not too fast) movements.
Yoga and Tai Chi are more focused on relaxation and stretching.
Pilates combines muscle conditioning with stretching. As you work one area you stretch another. It’s been around 80+ years and yield great results.
