What is the difference between “sleep”, “meditation” & “death” ?

Any experts here or anyone who can let me know ?
What I can understand from my limited knowledge is that when we are sleeping or meditating our nervous sysytem is still working, though it is in a very calm state, but with ‘death’ even that (I mean nothing) is not functioning any more….

  • When one dies, his soul leaves the body. Near-death experience in earthquake and surgery are supportive of the idea. If the soul returns to his body in a coma, he wakes up.

When one sleep, one usually has no direct control to the dream state. The dream state issue is quite complex. There is some discussion about dream state on page #176 in the Zhuan Falun book on the web.

In meditation, one should remain in a calm, focused, and conscious state. On page #158 in Zhuan Falun:
“Maybe you’ve heard about Bodhidharma sitting for nine years facing a wall. Back in the past there were a lot of monks who would sit for decades on end, and the longest recorded in history is over 90 years.”

Falun Gong is a unique Buddhist School. Falun Gong is based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises.

Falun Gong, Tibetans, Buddhists, and Christians have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China. Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?

  • Sleep means that you will wake up and everyday we sleep but…
Death means that you’ll not wake up after it and you can’t die then back to your normal everyday because we all will die and after die we’ll wake up because god will let the islamic people go to the paradise and the people who not in the islam will go to the big hall

  • Sleep : the natural periodic suspension of consciousness during which the powers of the body are restored
Meditation : to engage in mental exercise (as concentration on one’s breathing or repetition of a mantra) for the purpose of reaching a heightened level of spiritual awareness.
Death : a permanent cessation of all vital functions : the end of life
