  1. Intention.
It’s like the difference between watching TV and making a TV show. When you control the action, that’s conscious dreaming. When you’re just along for the ride, it’s dreaming.

  2. When you are able to Astral Project yourself, you supposed to be able to “actually” spiritually visit the place to intend to visit.
A dream is just that…a dream. It is in your head.

  3. A dream is all in your subconcious…astral projection is supposedly ‘leaving’ your body.
It’s like the difference between imagining going to the park and actually going to the park.

How to perform Yoga Nidra : Art of Yogi Sleep

Yoga nidra or yogi sleep has been used for thousands of years by yogis. In the Upanishads, there are three states of consciousness: waking, dreaming and deep sleep. Yoga nidra allows an individual to leave the waking state, move past the dreaming state and into deep sleep while remaining awake or conscious during the whole process. In yoga nidra, there are no dreams to explore. Instead, it is a process of emptying. It purifies the deeper aspect of the human mind by exploring deep impressions or samskaras. This is essential as samskaras drive our karma.
