What is the correct term for someone who is obsessed with death?

I know the term “necrophile” is someone who is sexually attracted to dead things, and a “necromancer” is a sorcerer of some kind. The term I’m looking for is for someone who has a deep interest in dead things.

  1. Usually just referred to as a Fascination with Death, but there was a poem written by William Cullen Bryant called Thanatopsis which translates in Greek to “Meditation upon Death”.

  2. THANOPHILIA
Philia means to like something, usually to the point of obsession, and Thanatos is the Greek word for death.
    There you go.
If it is not in the dictionary, it should be.

    • Thanatos is a greek god of death transition while Hades himself is the god of death and the under world and the greekS try not to put their gods names mixed into their words so thats why it was never found or written by the greeks, thats probally why its not in the dictionary.
