What is the best technique for lucid dreaming, and how difficult is it.?

I’ve been wanting to have a lucid dream for over a year now and I just can’t find the right technique. I’ve tried this app called Dream controller on my iPod and what it does is it play’s sound queues like, (you are dreaming) at 4 in the morning and onwards but that just doesn’t work.

Try jumping into the air a few times a day when nobody is around. Do this daily. After three to four weeks, if you’ve been consistent, you’ll have a dream where you jump into the air. But in dreams, we don’t just drop back to the ground, we float back down. Then you’ll know you’re in a dream.

I think I remember my friend reciting portions of the alphabet before falling into REM sleep.

A lucid dream is a dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming.

You will not find it difficult if you are using the best brains.
