What is mind? Where is consciousness stored and how does it work?

I know we all have different perspectives on this, but I’d like to hear personal beliefs as well as any scientific hypothesis anyone might care to enlighten me with.

  1. entire doctorates in multiple fields are dedicated to the discovery of this question. May I suggest that your questions asks for a summary of something that we are still not completely certain about ourselves.
I will say this; It does not appear that consciousness is “stored” any where.

  2. Mind collectively refers to the aspects of intellect and consciousness manifested as combinations of thought, perception, memory, emotion, will and imagination; mind is the stream of consciousness. It includes all of the brain’s conscious processes. This denotation sometimes includes, in certain contexts, the working of the human unconscious or the conscious thoughts of animals. “Mind” is often used to refer especially to the thought processes of reason.
Consciousness is a state that defies definition, but which may involve thoughts, sensations, perceptions, moods, emotions, dreams, and an awareness of self, although not necessarily all of these.Consciousness is a point of view, an I, or what Thomas Nagel called the existence of “something that it is like” to be something.
Consciousness is from where We manifest Ourselves into existence for experience and sensation. Consciousness is our pure being, and the stuff that Everything is made from.
Ned Block divides consciousness into phenomenal consciousness, which is subjective experience itself (being something), and access consciousness, which refers to the availability of information to processing systems in the brain (being conscious of something).
The issue of what consciousness is, and to what extent and in what sense it exists, is the subject of much research in philosophy of mind, psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence. Issues of practical concern include how the presence of consciousness can be assessed in severely ill individuals;to what extent non-humans are self conscious; at what point in fetal development consciousness begins; and whether computers can achieve conscious states.
In common parlance, consciousness denotes being awake and responsive to the environment, in contrast to being asleep or in a coma.

  3. There is a book, if you like to read that can answer your questions and more. It will tickle you and inspire you. Written by Jed McKenna, the book is titled Spiritual Enlightenment the Damnedest Thing.
Enjoy. It’s a quick and fun read and also one of my favorite all time books.

  4. Personally I believe consciousness is simply a by-product of life. Whether that life is bacteria, trees, dogs, or humans, we are all conscious. It’s the way that we experience the world where the difference lies. Could it be stored in DNA? I’m still thinking about that.

  5. The mind is the bio-magnetic wave generated by the soul. The soul is the association of millions & millions of self spinning tiny life energy particles (indivisible) circling in the living beings.Due to this fast spinning of life energy particles a wave is generated which is bio-magnetic wave. The same type of phenomina in the universe ( universe filled with fast spinning energy particles) will result in to universal magnetism whic is super consciouse mind and known as Holy Spirit in Chiristianity and Godess in Hinduism.
Soul is functioning in human beings in its center of the body near the prostate gland in the matured (grown up) people and in children, the pinneal gland as its center. We can see the functiong of soule in new-born babies on top of the head.
When this bio-magnetic waves using the brain & function through skin the perception of first sense evolved ( one sense living being plants), 2nd sense tongue ( worms , shells are two sense living beings), 3rd sense nose ( mosquitous type living beings), 4th sense eyes ( reptiles) & 5th sense all oter living beings ( animals including humans). The 6th sense is evolved & developed in all living beings & functionings as analtical mind based on its experience gained by other sense / senses. The potential of 6th sense is to develope its consciousness further and identify its origin.
The consciousness is stored in the center of its fast spinning life energy particles (soul) which can be identifie by reducing the frequency of mind and merging it with its origin (soul).
Thank you for your Q. The simillar type of my first Q & my explanation were removed. Are you a Vethathrian?
