What is 'Imagination'? please, no examples of…?

So, in the case of Imagination… the guiding hand of creativity, of hallucinations, of dreams… what IS it? In the arts of divining, astral projection, summonings… in the wakeful dreaming states of spiritual rapture, of drug and poison-induced hallucinations, of divine visions…
The answer ‘god’ is forbidden in this answering, for not only does it show the inability to vary your answers, but it does not satisfy my curiousity. Being that I study the Qabalah and use many references to gods, angels, kings, etc… I tend to say that it is the ‘creative powers of the archangels’, but merely a metaphore is all that that is… for what?
It seems that Imagination has purpose, it gave us literature/ language/ art/ science/ and more…

  1. All imagination is the same thing to me.
Imagination is using the mind to create a universe, or reality. I think of an apple, and in some universe, there is an apple, in whatever setting I saw it in, etc.
What guides it? your will. You can imagine anything you will.

  2. The Mind can continue to deceive you with logically, meaningful answers, cause you trust the mind so much
But to learn Wisdom, you have to lose the Mind. NO MIND

  3. I like to think that the imagination is a portal to other places (which are infinite). OR that it’s a way our mind attaches sensory symbols to iimpulses that would otherwise be beyond knowing. Or both. Or neither. The “portal” explanation is my favorite, though.

  4. Ecclesiasticus
    Chapter 1
36 Be not incredulous to the fear of the Lord: and come not to him with a double heart. 37 Be not a hypocrite in the sight of men, and let not thy lips be a stumblingblock to thee. 38 Watch over them, lest thou fall, and bring dishonour upon thy soul, 39 And God discover thy secrets, and cast thee down in the midst of the congregation. 40 Because thou camest to the Lord wickedly, and thy heart is full of guile and deceit.

    Christ says “I come quickly”
    The Apocalypse Of Saint John
    Chapter 22
16 I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star. 17 And the spirit and the bride say: Come. And he that heareth, let him say: Come. And he that thirsteth, let him come: and he that will, let him take the water of life, freely. 18 For I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add to these things, God shall add unto him the plagues written in this book. 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from these things that are written in this book. 20 He that giveth testimony of these things, saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Many Christians who do not agree that there will be a pre-tribulation rapture of the Church point out that it is a relatively new doctrine, first popularized in the 1800s and elaborated on subsequently. There are whole denominations that reject it for this reason. The Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox do not accept it either, as such a thing as “rapture” was never taught by any of their bishops, from the beginning. Instead of “being taken up into Heaven”, these churches follow the scriptures (such as Isaiah) clearly describing a physical Kingdom of Heaven that will be on a renewed Earth, following the Great Tribulation, the Resurrection of the Dead, and Judgment Day. For all practical purposes no Christians held to the pre-tribulation rapture theory before Darby in the 1820s.
