  1. The usual meaning of sweat lodge (also called inipi) is a structure constructed of saplings covered with cloths, hides or tarps to make a small rounded building. Inside is a pit which is filled with rocks heated on a ceremonial fire outside the inipi.
Inside the inipi the hot rocks make it very hot. The people inside go through four “rounds ” of increasing heat, sometimes with rituals or prayers. It’s a ritual for cleansing and purifying body, mind and spirit.
I do not know how anyone could be a “victim” of a sweat lodge ceremony but I will try to find out and get back to you.
