What is a ouija board and what does it do?

I have heard people mention them and warn that they are evil. I don’t think I would like to get involved with them but I would like to know what one is!

  1. A Ouija board is supposedly a game started in the early nineteen hundreds .People would make letters on individual pieces of paper and have a pendulum swing over them and see where it lands, what it spells. What the letters spelled out was supposedly a message from the beyond. In later years Ouija was adapted to game board and a pointer was made to slide across it and again what is spelled out would be a message from the beyond.
People are afraid of the Ouija because it is thought that it opens a portal into the users home and malevolent spirits and demons could pass through and reek havoc on your lives. It is also considered dangerous because you don’t know who you are contacting/ speaking with. You could be thinking you are talking with your dead grandmother but it turns out, whoops it is a demon from Hell.
The Ouija board’s credibility has been scrutinized ever since its creation. The leading argument being, the people either through sound mine or subconscious are spelling out what they want to see, what they think the answer should be.

  2. it has number and letters , u put a glass on it and put your finger on it .if if moves then you are comunicating with the dead and they are regarded as evil

  3. stay away from them, thats my advice. well basically they are used to summon spirits or ghosts often with a group of people. i dont even believe in that stuff but i how people who have been left in terrible states after using them. sorry for the lack of detail but im not too clued up on the subject. hope u find a good answer 🙂

  4. It is a board with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0-9, and yes/no printed on it. Players gently place their fingers on a triangular gamepiece with felt on the bottom of three corners and an opening in the center. Static elecricty , involuntary finger movement, and cheating players causes the game piece to move over the letters and numbers to spell our answers to questions the players ask the board.
Naive people often attribute the movement of tthe gamepiece across the board to supernatural activity.

  5. Its a board people use to pretend they are communicating with the dead. Its a bunch of crap, don’t waste your time.

  6. Its supposed to communicate with the dead using a pointer to highlight letters and numbers. Its usually just some twat moving the pointer.

  7. Ouija boards, or ‘spirit boards’ are considered evil by many people, although I myself am skeptic that they work.
Others do, however, and they are said to let loose ghosts to wreak havoc on innocents.
Okay. You ask the board a question using the pointer, which looks like a little table thing in the middle of take-out pizza. It supposedly answers you using the same pizza table thing.
Some people say that you let evil spirits and demons out of wherever they come from. If so, you have to hire an exorcist to cleanse your home.

  8. I think it is a “door” to open yourself up to the spirit world. And not a “good” spirit, either. Just a way for the devil to get us to try to communicate with him and his demons, plz do just like you are doing and stay away.

  9. Ouija Boards are very evil can open portals to some very dangerous things; Especially, If you don’t know what you’re doing. I had to pray for a lady on here some weeks back because she used an Ouija Board in her home and the demon was around her and her daughter; It was telling her daughter bad things about her mother.

  10. Dear Miss Emi, From Wolfer12, Yes ouija boards are very dangerous, if you want my advice go to http://www.coasttocoastam.com
He had a tape about a woman that was drawn into an old steamer trunk, and they found her in it.
It was the ouija board itself that was drawing the old lady into the steamer trunk.
Before she ended up in the steamer trunk, she was a very religious person who went to church every Sunday.
But This Sunday, she didn’t make it.
That is the reason why the police got out the blood hounds to find her.
So this could happen to anyone! Even you.
It sent chills up my spine when I read this.
And by the way? Ya wanta know how ouija boards work? You talk to the spirit, and the spirit directly answers.
And it May be an Evil Spirit! ! !
And by the way, I’m Sooo Not Kidding.

  11. Parker Brothers did not invent the Ouija Board. It had already been around for awhile when it was bought by Parker Brothers in 1966 and turned into a commercial success as a board game. Its beginnings lie in the distant past when an earlier version (a tripod device) was used in the ancient ways of Babylon and Greece to contact departed spirits. The tripod became the pointer now used with the Board, which is printed with the alphabet, the numbers 1-9, a 0 (zero), and the words ‘Goodbye’, ‘Yes’, and ‘No’. There are other boards like this with different names, but with the same history and purpose. The modern version of this game was developed by a man named Planchette, a spiritualist (someone who contacts the dead as part of their religion). The Board was further transformed around the turn of the century under the direction and ownership of two men, Elijah J. Bond and William Fuld. Fuld’s name can be seen on the Ouija Board today. The name Ouija is a combination of the French and German words for ‘yes’: Oui and Ja. According to Bond and Fuld, the Board suggested its own name. The primary purpose of the board is and always has been to contact disembodied spirits. Contacting the dead is called necromancy, and contacting spirits is spiritism, both strongly condemned by God (Deut. 18:9-12; Lev. 19:31, 20:6; I Sam 28, II Kings 21:6; Is. 8:19, 19:3-4). The Board’s translated name, ‘yes, yes’, is an ingenious and subtle way to invite spirit contact. Dead people cannot hang around after death; you cannot communicate with a dead person. The practices and techniques of contacting the dead and contacting spirits are used widely in the occult. Although the pointer is often moved intentionally or subconsciously by the players, you are putting yourself in a vulnerable position when using the Board. By ‘playing’ this ‘game’, you are showing an interest in spirit contact. If contact is made, it is demons (evil spirits, fallen angels), not the dead, who are responding. If Satan can disguise himself as “an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14), then it is not improbable that fallen angels can disguise themselves as the dead. The Ouija Board is not harmless just because it is marketed as a game. Satan, the master of deception and seduction, is good at twisting the truth into lies (Gen. 3:1-6; Jn. 8:44). Satan likes disguises and his lies are often disguised as games. The next time you are tempted to play the Ouija Board as a game, look beyond its disguise and see it for what it really is. Think about this: Just what or who are you trying to contact? God tells us to seek Him instead of the dead (Is. 8:19), and Christ “lives forever to plead with God” on behalf of those who believe Him (Heb. 7:25b). Who wants the Ouija Board when you can know the One Who has “complete authority in heaven and on earth!” (Matt.28:18). If you are wondering about Christ, think on His words in John 5:23-24, “He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”
