What if Christ and Buddha are two terms for the same thing?

Like the Buddha means awake, and Gautama was called Buddha because he became awakened to his Buddha-nature, the consciousness in all things. Likewise, in the NT Paul says that Christ is in all, to put on the mind of Christ, to let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, etc. Jesus said in the Gospel of Thomas, I am the unity, I am the whole that comes forth from wholeness, split a piece of wood or lift up a rock and I am there.

  1. If you read the gospel of Thomas’ version of what Jesus said and compare it to the four gospels in the Bible then it doesn’t make any sense. Jesus would never have said anything like that. That is just plain nonsense. Buddha could never be Jesus.

  2. No – Buddha didn’t believe in sin and the necessity to be forgiven sin – nor did he believe in Christ as God – who saves you from sin.

  3. Wise men came from the East: Buddha is not the Christ but men everywhere were interested in seeking God in various ways:
    Matthew 2:1
    [ Visitors from the East ] Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,

  4. The Bible clearly says that Jesus is the Only Way!
    Satan wants you to believe that ANY GOD will do!
    That is a lie and Satan is the Father of all Liars (jihad of deceptions)!
    (John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
    (John 14:7) If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
    Satan even presents himself as an ANGEL of Light …. HOW? by spinning the truth the way you just did …
    Satan goes about trying to deceive the gullible.
    (1 Peter 5:8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
    (1 Peter 5:9) Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
    Satan himself …
    because your adversary the devil;
    he who is a defamer and calumniator;
    who accuses God to men, and men to God,
    and is therefore styled the accuser of the brethren;
    he is the saints’ avowed and implacable enemy.
    Satan is an enemy to mankind in general,
    but
    more especially to the seed of the woman,
    to Christ personal,
    and to Christ mystical,
    to all the elect of God:
    the word here used is a forensic term, and signifies a court adversary,
    or one that litigates a point in law, or opposes another in an action or suit at law.
    The Jews have adopted this word into their language, and explain it by בעל דין, “a law adversary”,
    or one that has a suit of law depending against another.
    Satan accuses men of the breach of the law, and pleads that justice might take place, and punishment be inflicted, and which he pursues with great violence and diligence:
    as a roaring lion;
    so called, both on account of his strength, and also because of his rage, malice, and cruelty,
    which he breathes out against the saints,
    who,
    though he cannot destroy them,
    will do all he can to terrify and affright them;
    so the young lions in
    Psa_104:21
    are, by the Cabalistic Jews , understood of devils; to which, for the above reasons,
    they may be truly compared:
    walketh about; to and fro in the earth;
    see Job_1:7 as a lion runs about here and there, when almost famished with hunger;
    and it also denotes the insidious methods, wiles, and stratagems Satan takes to surprise men,
    and get an advantage of them
    : he takes a tour, and comes round upon them, upon the back of them, at an unawares,
    so that they have need to be always sober, and upon their guard:
    seeking whom he may devour;
    this is the end of his walking about: and the like is expressed in the Targum on Job_1:7
    “and Satan answered before the Lord, and said, from going about in the earth למבדק בעובדי, “to search into the works” of the children of men, and from walking in it;”
    that so he might have something to accuse them of,
    and they fall a prey into his hands.
    This is the work he is continually employed in;
    he is always seeking to do mischief,
    either to the souls, or bodies, or estates of men, especially the former;
    though he can do nothing in either respect without a permission,
    not unless he “may”;
    and though this, with respect to body and estate, is sometimes granted,
    as in the case of Job,
    yet never with respect to the souls of any of God’s elect,
    which are safe in Christ’s hands, and out of his reach;
    this hinders not but that saints should be sober and watchful.
    Greater is the Holy Spirit that is in Christians than Satan … the gates of Hell shall not prevail.
    (1 John 4:4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
    (1 John 4:5) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
    (1 John 4:6) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
    (1 John 5:9) If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
    (1 John 5:10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
    (1 John 5:11) And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
    (1 John 5:12) He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
    (1 John 5:13) These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
    (1 John 5:14) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
    (1 John 5:15) And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

    The Gospel of Thomas is not included any more than the Book of Morman or the Quran!
    Nothing after Revelations because Revelations is the Consumation of the Gospels.
    (Revelation 22:18) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
    (Revelation 22:19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
    (Revelation 22:20) He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
    (Revelation 22:21) The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
    The promise to Christians is ……..
    (Revelation 21:1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
    (Revelation 21:2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
    (Revelation 21:3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
    (Revelation 21:4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
    (Revelation 21:5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
    (Revelation 21:6) And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
    (Revelation 21:7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
    (Revelation 21:8) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
