What if Avatars take turns returning to earth and next time it's Buddha?

We all say that Jesus will return, but what if next time, it’s Buddha who returns, or one of the other god-men of old?
What if Jesus is still resting up from the last time and says, “Not me! Send Krishna.”
Would you still follow a different Incarnation, knowing that he is from God?

  1. Deu 5:7 You shall have no other gods besides Me.
Deu 5:8 You shall not make a graven image for you, any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters beneath the earth.
Deu 5:9 You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them. For I Jehovah your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me,

  2. Many Buddhists believe in the Maitreya Buddha that will return to teach the method of enlightenment to the world. There are many people who expect some kind of messiah to return.

  3. Well, one of the big selling points when the whole Christ myth was created was that he was beyond death. He had, apparently, conquered death. He came back once, and would come back again. Other made up god figures, beyond those who were already said to be immortal, hadn’t thought of that.
But what if it’s a kitten with a lime on its head?

  4. So, you’re saying that maybe Jesus was an incarnation of a deity? In Hinduism, this is not a strange idea, for a deity to return as another ‘person’.
If Jesus said, “Send Krishna,” and Krishna came again, I think Christians would be the last to know.
I have thought for a long time that if Jesus did come, and showed up on my Southern Baptist ex-in laws’ lawn, they’d get their guns out and/or call the cops.

  5. The Avatars aren’t petty and don’t make decisions based upon ego. They are what they are because they have overcome the false idea that they are separate beings. They know that there is God and God alone. They know that God is the substance of their being and the source of every breath they breath while in form. When their love for mankind wells up within them they appear to awaken those who long for God and truth and Goodness. It is the longing in the hearts of mankind that brings them into form. What do you imagine the world would be like if enough people had such overwhelming longing for God? That is what God responds to most urgently, the deep longing for Him in the depths of a devotees soul.
As Krishna said in the Gita, “Whenever goodness declines and evil becomes strong, I manifest Myself and push back the evil and reestablish righteousness in the hearts of men.” That is His promise and He is not alone in his love for humanity.
