What form of meditation produces the best results? A feeling of bliss?

Is it from a religion? A ‘guru’ ?
Do you have to pay to learn it?
Are the results fairly quick to notice or do they take months to recognize a true change of consciousness
Most importantly:
Have you practiced one yourself (or know someone who has) that their practice of this meditation brought upon a blissful state?


  1. i would suggest spiritual techniques. ( inner peace movement) you already are a feeling of bliss. in spiritual one gets to peel the layers away so that one experiences ones true self. a feeling of personal bliss. personally i like to get tattoos i get to pop out of my body. thats called plateau.

  2. The most healthy and profound meditation is also the most simple — an unadorned appreciation of what is most matter of factly true.
    That’s not necessarily about being in a pleasurable state — it’s more like an honest and real state. But when we are most honest, and most engaged in how things truly are — beneath our thought up notions of how things are supposed to be or how we want things to be — we have the chance to be held by the bliss of living the truth.

    “What will happen is that when you go sit there you’ll feel wonderful, like you’re sitting in an eggshell, and you’ll feel really good, you’ll know that you are cultivating, but you’ll feel like your whole body can’t move. These are things that have to happen in our practice. There’s another cultivation state: you sit and sit, and then you discover that your legs are gone, you can’t figure out where they went, and your body is gone, too, your arms are gone too, your hands are also gone, and only your head is left. As you keep meditating, you discover that your head is gone, too, and only your mind is left–there’s just a little bit of awareness left knowing that you’re cultivating here. If you can reach that point it will be more than good enough. And why is that? When a person does the exercises in that state his body is being evolved to its fullest extent. It’s the best state. So that’s why we have you enter into stillness in that kind of state.”
    Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises. Meditation and exercise demonstration video and book are free to download. If you need help, you can contact the local practitioner for free instruction and workshop in your area. It may take one months or years to achieve into the fullest state and it may take very short time; because every one is different. I have practiced for quite a few years and ithe meditation is better than taking a vacation.

  4. Hi i have done many forms of meditation..Zen, Buddhist and now I do Sahaja Yoga. Was meditating for a long time before I came to sahaja Yoga and I can honestly say that it is the greatest meditation and gives incredible feelings of bliss and happiness. From experience. The difference is we start with realisation and then work on the other chakras (energy centres) where other meditations its the other way around or even not at all, and there is no spirituality without understanding our chakras as i have come to understand.
    Its always free, and you pick it up quickly. Its not a guru type meditation but the person who developed it is Shri Mataji…. a recognized Indian saint.

  5. It’s difficult to say which type of meditation will work best for you individually. I believe there is over 700 techniques.
    Many people have great results with guided meditations which are similar to hypnosis as you are talked all the way through. You can download these type of meditations by either visiting youtube or running a search on your favourite search engine for “Guided meditation”
    The meditation I have had the best experience with is not religious and I did not have any guru. It’s called mantra meditation and it’s possibly one of the only types of meditation thats has tons of scientific research attached to it. Most of this has been carried out by the TM group.
    You have to pay some of the big meditation groups thousands of dollars to learn this type of meditation but you can also learn for free at websites like this one:
    Results can happen very quickly especially with regards to stress levels. I often see many people respond with amazing levels of relaxation and bliss with days of starting, others report slow progress. I believe it’s got something to do with dedicating some time to learn properly.
    I personally use mantra meditation combined with a more advanced technique which is an audio technology that guides your brainwaves in to states only usually experienced by people who have meditated for years with traditional techniques. The bonus with this is you feel blissful feeling pretty much right away.
