What do you think will happen to your consciousness after you die?

  1. The truth is that death brings IMMEDIATE heaven or hell, depending ONLY on whether you believe in Jesus alone for salvation or not.
Heaven is eternal joy with the Lord! 😀
Hell is eternal torment. Nobody has to be sent to hell. So to be in heaven and not hell, believe in Jesus alone for salvation now! 🙂
Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! 😀
Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or “leave” salvation (John 6:39-40, 1 John 5:13).
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you will be in heaven, no matter what!
Please pray now: “Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!” You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die. 🙂

  2. The same thing that happens to the software on a computer when it’s put in a microwave. Total annihilation, like falling asleep and never waking up.

  3. It is scientifically proven that the mind “fades” away after death. Which is why when people “die” for a few and come back, they think they had seen heaven/God.

  4. Your consciousness does not exist as a separate entity but instead as the result of electrochemical messaging within the brain. It would simply cease to be because the process would cease to run.
David, if you have anything to contribute besides the same copy and pasted answers, please do.

  5. That’s like asking what happens when a light bulb burns out. The light doesn’t shine on in light bulb heaven or something.

  6. Of course I don’t know (in an experienced sense) but I think it’s like turning off the computer, the energy that encodes the Information in my mind will dissipate as heat and my consciousness will evaporate.

  7. It looks like conscious thought is an affect of the living brain. Thought appears to end with the failure of the brain.
What does it mean to measure your life in the counts of days? Best to find your mark, and aim well for it now my friend.

  8. I don’t believe in any Gods, but I also don’t believe in what we call “reality” either… for one thing everything including ourselves is just a bunch of atoms, electrons, and molecules that quantum physics tells us aren’t even together until we perceive them as together in our brain. We’re all subconsciously creating “reality” as we go along.. I think dying is like waking up from a long dream, because that’s what this life is… We’re a higher life form, probably a star in the cosmos or the entire universe itself dreaming of this human experience we’re having.
