What do you think about burning in hell?

Hell is one thing that Christians are talking about and debating a lot. The threat of eternal punishment serves to control people by fear. When someone does proper reasearch and has proper spiritual knowledge they can know for a 100% fact that this place is non exsistent.

If you believe the bible then realize that when the Bible speaks of hell the word is used and is refering to a trash dump in Jerusalem that was burned and sometimes got so large that the fires burned for days and even months at a time. The condemned of the society were actually throwen into what must have looked like a “lake of fire”. Also realize that if there really is free will then this place doesn’t exist. Free will is not come to me and love me or burn forever in the worst possible torment you choose. That is a threat. Also the stuff about god not sending people there but allowing them to freely choose to go there on there own. That doesn’t make it love. In what way is that love or a choice if god really is all powerful and can prevent all that.

Secondly when you look at it from a spiritual point realizing that much of the bible is corrupted spiritual allagory then you discover that (the Christian idea) hell was refering to asention of the kundalini serpent which resides at the base chakra (hence the word down being used) and burning in hell is literally the transformation of the soul through burning off the dirt (dross or blockages) in it and transforming it into a higher level of knowledge, understanding and power, and ascention into heaven or a blissful state of understanding and being or a deep peace that last all the days of your life. The kundalini is burning hot like fire and the feeling is throught your entire body when ascending also feelings of being confused alone or in darkness can be present. (but the benifits way outweigh this temporary state) It is describing a time of spiritual transformation not a place.

THE DEAD KNOW NOTHING. THUS THEY CAN FEEL NOTHING. In order for a person to burn forever they would need to be immortal, something promised to only those going to heaven. Not even the righteous who will live on the earth gets immortality. And everlasting life is a gift promised to those who will live on the earth after God destroys the wicked. Hell is not a literal place of burning fire but it is man kinds common grave for the words sheol and hades are words used in the bible in Hebrew and Greek which are rendered pit or… Read more »

Xianity is a FEAR based religion; if not, the concept of hell woulda been unnecessary.

You are partly correct – “burning in hell” is no a Biblical doctrine, while the Lake of Fire ( where there is eternal torment, fire, brimstone, etc, etc ) is correct. The Old Testament speaks of hell, which had two compartments – one was the bosom of Abraham, while the other was Gehenna – the difference being that the bosom of Abraham was a temporary “holding place” until the Judgment, whereas Gehenna is the Lake of Fire………….links provided will be of benefit to you ( and others that are equally lost )

Most have different perspectives on exactly what it is.

The concept of heaven and hell were already there in some pagan cults and religions, and were stolen by the founders of Christianity. The concept of hell was then enlarged to the extreme, and then the message of this afterlife was preached continuously to demoralize and condition man.

Incorrect The idea of a loving God sending people to hell for eternity is not easy to accept. Why would God, who is full of mercy and grace, send people to a place of torment for ever and ever for not trusting in Jesus even though they are nice people, or never heard of Jesus, or were sincerely trying to find God? Is that fair? Is that right? When people ask these questions, they are appealing to what they perceive as fairness. They are looking at the issue from their human perspective. But this perspective is not necessarily the right… Read more »

The only times I think about “hell” are when it is mentioned here, in R&S….other than that, my life is too good to give it much thought at all.

I would rather choose to believe in God through Jesus Christ — then to burn in Hell !! Blessings
