I am trying to figure out what to look for in a meditation program before I buy. What do you all suggest?
Please all, I am looking for a CD to help me. Don’t tell me to listen to my breath or something like that. Been there, done that. Looking for some assistance. What should I look for in a meditation PROGRAM.

  1. Try to listen to a sample of it before you purchase. It helps if you love the sounds you’re listening to. Holosync is a good meditation program as well as Higher Balance.
Holosync uses the binaural beats, and Higher Balance uses your chakras as its focus.

  2. Try to find a program that uses binaural beats in the audio. This allows you to enter into a meditative trance almost immediately. It’s like instant meditation.

  3. There’s an excellent book that was released this year called “Real Happiness”, where the author lays out a 28 day plan that goes over several methods. It comes with a CD or you can purchase the ebook that includes download links for the audio files. I have several meditation books and this is one of my favorites. Meditation for Dummies is good too. You might want to avoid buying into a program that only teaches one method, you might end up hating it. I’ve included a link to the book I mentioned.

  4. There are guided meditation CD’s and DVD’s, and it sounds like that’s what you’re seeking. Just type “guided meditation” in your search engine and check out the results. Or, if you have a metaphysical store close to you, visit them and see what they have or suggest.

  5. You do not need to buy a program to learn to meditate. I’ll tell you an easy meditation right now.
Sit quietly and comfortably. Focus your attention on your breath. You can focus on the rising and falling of your chest, the sensation of the air coming into your nose or really any part of the breath that your mind goes to. Keep your mind on that. As other thoughts come to mind gently let them go and gently bring your mind back to rest on your breath. Do that for 5-10 minutes and work up to 20 or more minutes. That’s it. You don’t need to spend any money.

  6. you dont look for anything because you are not going to buy a program just to meditate.
just relax yourself, sit down someplace quiet and reflect what you have done through the day
