I’m just wondering cause I am a Christian and I have just heard about lucid dreaming a few days ago. It immediately sparked my interest, cause it sounds really cool.
The thing is, I looked up some stuff about it, and some people connect it with demons and demonic activity. I really don’t want anything to do with something that goes against my faith, or that involves demons!

So I am just wondering if lucid dreaming is bad for Christians to do, or if Satan can influence you more when you are doing it.

Thank you for your time, and God bless!

  • Lucid dreaming seems tied to sleep paralysis. People who lucid say you are less scared of sleep paralysis, then people who do not lucid dream and that you can use sleep paralysis to enter into lucidity. But you are much more likely to have sleep paralysis after you start lucid dreaming than before. So if sleep paralysis is demonic (Which almost every ancient culture agreed as demonic.) then sleep paralysis might be demonic. Sleep paralysis is a condition where you wake up in the middle of a rem cycle and can not move because the brain thinks you are still sleeping, it is also linked to “hallucinations of demons”.

  • Do not lucid dream! I have been doing it since I was 7, unintentionally, due to abuse as a child. Around that time something evil has followed me, I can’t get restful sleep and I have no dreams or nightmares. For your own safety stay away!

  • from my experience, I discovered lucid dreaming when I was like 11, or 12 and it happened about once a week for quite a while, I did a lot of research once I realized not everyone did it. I’m 17 now and filled with the Holy Ghost and God is doing awesome things in my life! I’m so glad I’m in the holy family of God! I don’t think it’s evil unless you are trying to go against the will of God while dreaming, like trying to connect or communicate with demons I any way(evil communications corrupt good manners)( have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness)!! Even after being baptized with the Holy Ghost I continue having lucid dreams from time to time.

I read in another comment that it was bad because God doent want us to take control of our dreams! I disagree! He has given us richly all things to enjoy, and he gave you your own free will. If you serve God, it isn’t because he made you do it! And if you sin it isn’t because he made you do that either! He has set before us life and death, and is telling us to choose life! If an electric fence is turned on and it says to you “Come through the gate so you don’t get zapped”, and you choose to try and climb through the thin metal wire, that’s your choice and you get your reward! As many as recieved Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, and as many as are led by the Spirit are the sons of God! And there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit! my walk with God has proven to be like walking up a down escalator! If you stop walking(or running) you’re falling away!

It’s past midnight where I am so I’m hittin it! God bless!

  • Perhaps if you stay strong in the Lord Jesus crist pray for his protection every time you sleep expecially for the dream and if you ever in the lucid dream state do things that are good in the eyes of God it can still be fun. Even use the dream to make you stronger in your religion in somewhat way. A way I would make my dream fun without sin is something smart like flying or having superpowers killing off satanic demons or something or building a spaceship and exploring the universe and other planets an stuff.

  • I am a Christian. I discovered Lucid Dreaming when I was 11, I was totally excited. I have 1-2 Lucid Dreams/Month and I really like it. Lucid Dreaming is just knowing you’re dreaming, it’s safe.

Nightmare’s are made by the devil itself, you can just wake up from nightmare’s when you know you’re dreaming. The devil loses, you win.

Lucid Dreaming is not evil in my opinion, it’s beautiful.

  • I think Lucid dreaming is evil. Not that I have any proof to prove it to you, but I strongly feel it is demonic. I read about it in a random website last night and I couldn’t complete reading the website, because I felt the protection I had from the Holy Spirit gradually deteriorating while I read about it. It was really terrigying even to read the steps to put yourself in lucid dreaming. The website was really cool though, had nothing to worry about, and just mentioned the steps to be in a lucid dreaming, that is all. But it is the feeling I had while I read about it, the same feeling while hearing something demonic. So I didn’t try it, and now I was searching if it was evil and I think I have found the answer for it. In Bible too, it is depicted that Lord uses dreams to communicate with us and if we take control of the dream and alter it, how do you think there is nothing evil in it, when the word of the Lord clearly states that the Human mind always leans towards the evil? It is evil for sure, and you will find this out eventually, because the fruit of evil is always sin and nothing else.

Take care, my dear friend, not to yield to temptations. Take help from the Holy Spirit and use the gift of ‘discernment’ from the Holy Spirit to discern between good and the evil.

Stay away from evil and Stay blessed.

    • Lucid dreaming is real and it takes effort to actually do. Is lucid dreaming wrong for a Christian to induce? I would say no but, you should not test God. If your going to lucid dream then you do it at your own risk. We all know the bible teaches to not test God, when you choose to lucid dream and enter the spiritual realm and yes dreaming is a very spiritual gift, your doing it by inducing it with your mind and your body. See when God gives people dreams and visions they don’t induce Lucidity to do it. God choose them for a message he has for them so God sends it with his power not by yours. Now when we decide to induce Lucidity with our power it is not Gods will, but our own to enter the realm. In this realm and there are many with infinit space you will encounter demons, Angels. And all kinds of different beings who are also in the spiritual realm. In other words your fair game. This can be a lot of things, dangerous, enlightening, knowledgable, scary, blissful and many other feelings and emotions. All in all, we know dreams are very powerful (the bible) and sometimes meaningless and silly (your dreams) but choosing to go into a lucid state does change your dreams and really is a whole different level of responsibility. You have to sleep and when demons and other evil things find you in the spirit realm conscious and knowing you choose to wander around by “Your” power makes you a target. Even if your a Christian because your will is what sets us apart from all other creatures the good lord made. It’s your choice. Personally I would stay away from it if your a Christian, but me I have gone threw many situations with the demonic in astral and real life. God has I felt always protected me but, God has also let me go threw horrifying experiences and everything comes with a price. Depends on the individual. Lucid dreaming is not for the feint of heart. There will be times you are very conscious and aware in your dream but demons or creatures will over power you and you won’t be able to wake up. The worst thing is when your having the worse nightmare and you wake yourself up only to be paralyzed not able to move because your body is still thinking your asleep. I’ve laid paralyzed for 5 minutes and that feeling is not fun at all. Also while in the state of paralysis you hear whispers and voices and see people in dark attire walking up to you while stuck. Those are not fun. Just some advice to think about.

  • No, lucid dreaming is not evil or demonic. Anymore than dreaming in itself it. In the Bible, God and His angels speak to people in dreams all the time. A lucid dream occurs when you are aware of being asleep and dreaming. In this state, the Holy Spirit may choose to speak Personally with our soul. This has happened to me, and and as a result, I was Born Again of the Spirit and embraced the Word of God, all because of my lucid dreams. The devil can tempt us both awake and asleep, but the evil one only has as much power as we give him. Being afraid of lucid dreams is one way to let the devil win by making us give into fear and not explore God’s gift, and lucid dreaming can definitely be a gift from God.

  • Ive been trying to achieve this for about more than 2 years….false awakening….once, but a real/full lucid dreams, i cant. i dont know why but i dont think its a very good thing because while you are in state of lucid dreaming you can control your environment, summon anything(like when we were kids we used to watch cartoons and saw them taking out anything behind their back :D)….yeah, it seems pretty cool, who wouldnt want it….having anything they want by just imagining it?? if you are a gamer you will surely understand….it sounds amazing having an avatar of urself editing and creating anything as you desire….But ive been thinking, does’nt that makes us god???
And yes i am a christian and i think its better not experimenting it. 🙂

  • Hi, Not sure if this question is still active, but here’s my perspective on the subject: Lucid dreaming is simply knowing your dreaming, and with practice, you can control your dreams. Some people choose to use these for fulfilling sinful desires, and I’m sure you can guess some of those desires. Now, that’s where Satan comes in. He’s kind of tricky that way, but don’t forget, there’s always a way out of temptation, God promises us that! Now for those who Lucid dream and commit such sins in them, and think “Well, I’m dreaming so there are no consequences” this is not true. See, your completely aware of what your doing in Lucid dreaming, so It’s a sin, because your making the choice to commit these sins! Now, I’m a Lucid dreamer, have been since I was 14! I’ve decided to use my Lucid dreaming for only playful reasons and also for the Lord. Most of the time, I either do something really fun(Flying is pretty common, and I rather enjoy it myself) or I try to praise the Lord in some way. Basically, if you’re not using Lucid dreaming for fulfilling sinful desires, It’s completely harmless! Also, to be clear: OBE’s and Astral projection is not real. It’s the same thing as Lucid dreaming, but of course those doing it don’t believe that. I must strongly advise against ever attempting such things, because even though it’s just Lucid dreaming, with the intent to do them, it’s contradicting to our religion, so it’s sinful. I’m a soon-to-be Christian Psychologist(I’m probably gonna take the Christian therapist route though), so I’m pretty informed. I hope I helped in some way.
    God Bless!

  • Hey.
I’ve been saved since I was 5 and have rededicated since then.
I have been having lucid dreams since as long as I can remember. I didn’t realize that that is what I was doing until someone explained to me what lucid dreams were. I thought that everyone was able to do that and that lucid dreaming was normal. Part of the reason is that I am also an insomniac so when I do fall asleep my dreams are very vivid and I am always aware of my surrondings and I am able to control them most of the time. When I do have bad dreams though I usually am not able to control them and I will cry out to God and He always instantly wakes me up. He has always come to my aid when I am having a bad dream. All I have to do is cry out His name and He is there in an instant.

  • Hi, this is my story..I’m a Pentecostal christian and strongly believe in the holy spirit…I’ve always suffered from these types of dreams…and always knew they were spiritual…i had one prophet tell me that the devil hypnotized me so that i could enter that stage…but i would always fight it and still do..although sometimes God intervenes during this stage I’m in and i see Jesus praying for me or comes and warns me through in the dreams…just yesterday i had one and i felt an angel praying for me…i was listening to “Jesus culture” and i could still hear the song playing…in the dream i asked God “if this is heavenly give me a sign”..the angel waited for the song to end and said ” There u have the power of God” in spanish as soon as he finished speaking i woke up and started crying and praising God…God still speaks to us throughout dreams and visions my mom is a dream prophet just like Joseph in the bible…when u have and intimate connection with God he will speak to u through dreams visions prophets…God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow…just how the devil enters that stage to torment us God can also enter that stage to speak to us and help us…i honestly dont advice anybody to practice this…if God wants to speak to u he will no matter what awake or a sleep…

  • I’m a follower of Christ and studier of the scripture. Christ in all his love died for us for the redemption of the soul. The spirit within us is alive and well. For those of us who trust in the Lord, we are living our lives by the Holy Spirit. He guides us and directs us. Dreaming is a place where God can allow the Spirit to understand our world and the problems that we face when we are awake. The Spirit provides us understanding and wisdom for the next day. For those of us who are greatly blessed, we are able to be aware of the dream and in some cases, create the dream, to help us grow and learn. However, every facet of the flesh is guilty of sin, so when you are lucid, take caution, because you can sin even in thought. So be wise and use this gift to glorify your maker.

  • Im a christian., and i have been trying to do this for a while
with no luck , im always having dreams though that im telling
people about lucid dreams but i have never quite made it to that
point where i know that i am, I have talked to a couple of people
that have these on a reg , i guess one of my biggest fears and prolly the reason i cannot get to that point ,, just guessing, But
the people in your dreams are really you , your sub-concious
from what im told, i believe it could be things of a more harmfull
nature , You can talk to your deceased family or friends bu
t decieving just happens to be one of the many things that the devil is capable of.So you never really know. I still want to do it though i guess just to say that i did anyways whoever is doing this as a real christian . You know right and wrong and if your going to persue just do it with a good intent don’t by into the
what everyone else is saying, Demons and what not , its just like
i said you never know . Keep it real and God Bless!!!

  • I honestly don’t know what to think about this. I think i’lll just talk to my mom about this. It’s a very complicated topic. I will pray about it too. There have been times when i’m aware i’m dreaming but is that considered lucid dreaming???

    • Hey Kelly and everyone.
      THE CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE:

I’m a devout Christian who’s had lucid dreams, and also some minor demonic experiences. My mom’s received dreams from God, but not me.

Simply being aware that you’re dreaming equals lucid dreaming, although it mainly refers to very vivid dreams (ultimately controllable).

Like Prisiclla said, one must be careful. But it depends on the dream.
I was aware of dreaming once, and decided to float around for the fun of it. That’s A-OK. I wasn’t trying to reach something “special”, I was just being creative in a dream (and floating’s not much anyway).

The thing about any kind of dreaming though is that it’s carnal/emotion-based rather than involving right and wrong (unless it’s a vision from God, and in which case God is obviously the director). If you lucid dream, you may think of the experience as meaningful, but in reality things are MUCH DIFFERENT. Therefore, it’s not something one should reflect on. It should only ever be playful.

Just stay faaar away from astral travel etc. The only Christian way to grow mighty in the spirit, if that’s what you’re after, is meditation on the word. Mysticism drew my attention for years, but not anymore. Mind, body, soul, and spirit now make perfect sense to me.

Anyone interested in understanding TRUE, unbridled Christianity (not very popular, I tell you) should PLEASE visit this site: http://www.theswordbearer.org

        • I’ve had phases of sleep paralysis too, it’s a nightmare…
But there are some simple things that can prevent it.. It depends why you’re having it. Like eating a lot right before bed or just being very stressed out were causes for me.
And it helps whenever I don’t sleep lying straight on my back.

Lol there were times when I had dreams ABOUT having sleep paralysis and then waking up like “Oh okay…”

  • I just read a few more of the posts and someone mentioned that it was only non christians that had the lucid demonic dreams…not true I am a christian and this is not something I asked for nor wanted to happen!

  • While I have been reading up on lucid dreams I have seem many people are trying to do this…I have experienced lucid dreams many times in my life but only recently (4 out of 6 nights) have they been this terrible. They have never been self induced but the last 4 have been of a demonic nature and the only way to stop them was by prayer, I instinctively knew they were demons and that praying was the only way to save myself…I have since blessed my house and hope that this does the trick…this is not something I have any desire to experience in a negative form If it was a positive fun dream I guess that would be a horse of a different color !

    • What you are experiencing is a night terror, which is common when you are going thru REM cycles. In addition, you may want to know that your brain shuts of receptors to the body neural sytem when you are in REM, in other words paralyzing the body, while you rest. This relieves your brain of extra work. Some people have described this a feeling of being unable to move. Don’t worry..you’re fine. These are not demons.

  • Ive been troubled if i should lucid dream or not also i still am but last night i woke up in sleep praylis for those of you who do not kbow what this is it is where your body is asleep and your mind is not in this state you can start to imagine your dream then youll lucid dream. i woke up in this state knowing i could do it but the feeling of it was scary then i heard many voices say try it real loud i was trying to resit and id just get put back in this state finally it quit and everything was normal please help

  • Be careful, lucid dreams and self-hypnosis are the same. The subject of a lucid dream is in a hypnagogic state, a mental state where you can suggest to yourself the things that you see in your dream, this is why you have the power on your dream. In brief, during those lucid dream, you are both the hypnotist and the patient. Demons detect this state of mind (the trance), as doctors can do by observing occular movements. This opens you to any suggestion, and demons can take advantage of it. God used dreams to talk to prophets. Satan does the same to reveal things to his worshippers (read Jeremiah 29:8,9) . When Saul of Tarsus experienced a vision on the road to Damas, the Bible said that he felt into a trance. The witnesses around Saul saw nothing, only Saul did. You never know when those lucid dreams are induced by demons or not. The only thing you can do during those lucid dreams is acting as a true christian, and act with integrity as you would do in ordinary life. And if the demon or Satan is exposed as the origin of your lucid state, and finally turns against you, cry out the name of God ‘Jehovah’. (Prov 18:10) And do not forget to find the things in your house that could have been the property of a spiritist before, and burn them, because it could also be a backdoor to demons. (Even movies or musics downloaded on the internet). Moreover, ask true christians to help you.

  • heres some food for thought don’t confuse Lucid dreaming with what is called OBE or Out of body experiance or some term as astral travel. The bible says that going out of your body on purpose is an abomination. If you find yourself out side of your body you should interpritate it as a dream Here is my thought. While they are very simular that are not “exactically” the same thing. I believe that God gives us the gift of dreams to protect us while we sleep and keep us from going out of the body. If you have Jesus in your heart than you will not be decieved. In a lucid dream you can do anything you want tho sinning in your dreams are just as bad as sinning in real life. and Im not sayibng because you killed your brother in your dream the cops should take you away just rather you should ask for forgiveness maybe say a prayer or get baptised.

  • I lost my 13 yr old son 8 months ago my family
Is extremely faith based my son wanted to be a pastor!
I’ve recently had lucid dreams of him and wake up crying and it’s
Strange but I feel at times as if something is in my house , in my room a lot ! I feel like being watched… Strange things are
Happening , my dogs won’t even come to my room at night
And this is recent they bark at walls it weird!
    I need some answers please!

    • This is what I believe Lucid Dreams were given to us for Mm. It seems like you are not ready to let go and your son is trying to say good bye but maybe your not hearing it next time you have a lucid dream try holding your son and telling him you love him and release his soul to the lord. Say a prayer first that always sets the intention.

    • Lucid dream is a dream inside an hypnagogic state, a mental state where things can be suggested or “shown” to you (as during an hypnosis), and where you can also talk and act consciously.

Demons can use hypnotic dreams to influence you. God used dreams to talk to prophets. Satan does the same to reveal things to his worshippers (read Jeremiah 29:8,9).

Nowadays, God does not talk to people through dreams anymore (please read 1 Cor 13:8).

So the origin of those dreams can only be : whether your mind or whether demonic.

The only thing you can do during those lucid dreams is acting like a true christian, and act with integrity as you would do in ordinary life. And if the demon or Satan is exposed as the origin of your lucid state, and finally turns against you, cry out the name of God ‘Jehovah’. (Prov 18:10), or make a prayer asking God His protection by the name of Jesus.

It seems that demons want to make you believe that the soul of your son is still alive and haunts your house, which is wrong.

The biggest Satan’s lie is making people believe that humans do not die and have an immortal soul. It was his first lie in the Garden of Eden (“Ye shall not surely die” – Genesis 3:4), and he still uses demonic powers to keep humans in ignorance of the truth.

Ecclesiast 9:5,6 is clear about the fate of humans “For the living know they will die; but the dead do not know anything, nor have they any longer a reward, for their memory is forgotten.” and “there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going”. It clearly shows that dead people are.. dead. and nothing more. (but the Bible talks about a future resurrection 😉 )

Demons love to appear in the form of dead people. The Bible condemns sorcerers, and people who talk to the dead. (read Deuteronomy 11:11) The story of King Saul and the Spirit Medium of Endor (1 Samuel 28) is about a demon who looks like the dead prophet Samuel talking to Saul.

Do not forget to find the things in your house that could have been the property of a spiritist before, and burn them, because it could also be a backdoor to demons. (Even movies or musics downloaded on the internet).

Ask true christians to help you when they will come and knock at your door.

  • Look, I am saved, and dream lucid sometimes. To say Christians are exempt vs non-Christians because none of us can look at anyone and proclaim them saved or unsaved. This is because only God can see what’s in the heart. It is not our business to judge, just love others and find out what God wants from us and do it. Pray God gives yoy guidance when insomehow or out of your dream, and always refer to the Bible. I am finally asking God to give me guidance even when I dream this way, rather that just me practicing my technique lucid in dreams.

P.S. I am sometimes touch mid- lucid dreaming when hubby wakes me up. So one doesn’t die from it. Silliness.

  • God bless you all.!! My ingles is bad but i gonna try!! Lucid dreaming of out of body experience of astral projection, new ages etc etc is the same things!! I am not say for saying, but i have experience both!! Its a long story!!where they come from in my life(from my generation) they are occult.!! No christian should do these things because they are demonic,..ones you try it you will more..the bible say mat.4:18:19 my people perish for lack of knowledge. Read your bible.!! And don’t go their.. If you will now why i will free to tell you my story about this things!! Okay God bless you!! Try The Holly Sprit He will free to give new experience and good experience with God

  • Everybody has a different opinion or outlook on this but saying we are Christians we are one we must all be on one accord either we be w/it or against it and it is of the world so I am against it because I am not of this world heaven is to be my final destination so the world and things thereof do not factor. I do not believe in practicing lucid dreaming. Most people do it to have out of body experiences btw and if you are touched while doing real lucid dreaming it can be fatal..

      • It cannot be fatal… Sorry Kiki, but Lucid dreaming is harmless when used for the right reasons. Unless used to fulfill sinful desires, attempt “astral projection/OBE”, etc, there’s nothing wrong with it. If someone touches you while your Lucid dreaming, you’ll either not even notice it, or wake up, just like a normal dream. I’m getting ready to study psychology, and get a degree in ministry(Possible Christian Therapist), So I’ve done my research. You should too. It might be interesting to learn about this subject more! 🙂

  • Lucid dreams are simply dreams which use all of your senses–sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. You are also able to direct –or to “control”–the form and direction of the dream. Yes it ia possible for demons to interfere, but that is so in daily life.

As other posters have said, if you truly have faith, lucid dreaming can be a truly fun experience, free of Satan and his evil tricks. When I was little I used to have a reoccurring lucid dream where my mom sends me to the store and I have to go up this hill. Halfway up I notice the hill is actually lime sherbert. The whole dream turned out to be an awesome version of. Hansel and Gretel –not an Evil Witch in sight!!–kids playing everywhere. I made wonderful new friends and filled a cart full of yummy food to take home to Mom. I wish I could have that dream today!

Use the dreams to not only sort out your day, but also to talk with God. Ask Him questions and speak to Him honestly about things on your mind or troubling you. Your relationship with Him will only grow stronger as long as you remember that through God ALL things are truly possible. Then use your dreams to do all the wonderful things you want to do. Go to the beach, on vacation, whatever.

Hope this helped! Sorry it was so long.
    God bless!
    Lynn

    • Based upon Joshua’s saying that Lucid Dreaming’s similar to hypnotic suggestions and therefore dangerous, it’s possible for demons to think you’re speaking to God but actually aren’t.

Meaning, it’s possible to actually be decieved by your dreams into thinking that’s what God really said, and therefore, can be quite dangerious.

You can talk to God via praying while you’re awake, and God will answer in a different way (for me, I use my feelings to get a general idea on what God wants {Yeah, I know it’s not that realiable, but I think I’d realize that through my knowledge on what God would want and not want}, through the bible, and even when others talked to me for God, like my mother).

  • You guys are all missing a very important detail here. If you research what people are saying all over the internet about this lucid dreaming phenomenon, you’ll notice that it’s only non-Christians who experience these full on demon attacks. Demons can’t touch you if you possess the Holy Spirit. He’s too powerful to let any other force rest control away from Him. In unbelievers, however, even if you pray, wear a crucifix, read the Bible, whatever, if you don’t have the Holy Spirit inside you, you’re helpless against whatever you invite into your mind. I’m not totally sure of anything yet, cuz there’s a LOT of science people throw around about it, but there’s no denying the fact that unbelievers are always the ones to experience these “contacts” and that Christians are always somehow exempt from them. Again, not totally sold either way on just your mind, or actual demons, but there’s no denying the evidence out there.

    • This can be explained. A non rapid eye movement dream is where your brain goes over your whole day and everything you see, say, do and think about doing. When you get into a deeper sleep you start rapid eye movement dreaming. This is where your brain takes all the information collected in it and creates a scenareo to train you for possible outcomes of everything that you see, say, do, and think about doing.

Therefore, if you think crazy, you have crazy dreams. It also depends on the food you eat, how you lie in bed, and if you are on any medication at all. Which would all be under what you do in life.

You can also have control in a dream and not know your dreaming. In other words your logic side of your brain could be kind of asleep and you could think that you are just having a normal day and you would think that something like flying or walking on water is normal. Until that part of your mind wakes up and you realize you were dreaming.

A lucid dream is when you determain that you are in a dream state of mind. In other words, you know that your body is paralized from the chemicals that your brain released and that you are seeing hallucinations that your mind is creating.

A gift of the spirit is self control. If you want to do something evil in a dream, then you will feel guilty if you are a true christian when you wake up because to think about doing something is simular to actually doing it. So we are all what we think about. We are killers, theives, adulterers, and so on.

Jesus realizes that we are born into sin and we sin continuosly in our heats and mind. That is why he lived, died, and resurected to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sin.

So lucid dream is just another word for being aware that your asleep and dreaming. To do deeds good or bad in a dream is the same as doing deeds in waking life.

      Hope this helps.

    • you made me laugh with that, it is not just christians who get attacked in that manner, everyone does world wide, just christians?! lololo

    • Hold it there, just because we are christians does not mean we can do anything and not be harmed or recive the concequences.I am in agreement that God protects us from any evil spirits or demons, etc. But image it like this, He put a wall around us and says inside this wall is everything good, (tennis, sewing, bible reading, every regular activity) but if you decide to wander into other activites involving spirits or demonic presence(ouija, astral projection, fortune telling, etc), you are no protected, because you willingly did what God said not to, so are out of this imaginary wall.
As for Lucid dreaming, I am not sure complely if you should do it or not, but its better to be safe than sorry, if still insistimg on trying , just ask yourself why do you want a lucid dream.

      Hope it helps

    • Sorry Keke,
have to politely disagree. My entire family is born again with the holy spirit and has continued to follow Jesus in their everyday Lives, They have already had amazing fruits of god come to season with so many miraculous successes and overcomings and blessings that many envy our family since none of us deserved so much love. But everyone except myself has experienced nightmares that would end in complete fear resulting in them waking up paralyzed hearing voices and seeing demons eyes and sometimes feeling weight on their chest preventing them from breathing. They have all grown so strong w memorizing scripture and using Jesus’s name to fight out of these things. Everytime they notice scripture affects demons and my familys’ bodies and Jesus’s name is the END GAME button pretty much as it said in scripture
“God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.” – Ephesians 1:22

So no matter what use his name in everyday things and It will become easier to combat the enemy and remain in gods peace, but even when you fall look forward to Jesus because with Heaven awaiting Us the Best has Yet to Come:)

  • Lucid dreaming is a type of dream state where you can have some control over what you are dreaming. It is a part of your imagination where your brain is expressing deep thoughts that are your own, part of your personality. It can be revealing and fun, if you view it that way. Demons do have the ability to influence our thinking, just like other aspects of our lives, with the exception that they do know human nature, and do know what scares us. Given that, God occupies a person who is a christian, christians being the temple of the Holy Spirit. Where God is, no demon can even enter, let alone dwell (or possess).

I have had rare experiences of demons in my dreams. They do not harm me, only frighten me. I learned that they cannot truly hurt me. I don’t make light of them, but I trust the Lord to protect me and do what is good for me. Love in Christ to all! Suse

  • Hello my friend. I am also looking into this and through some effort managed to have a lucid dream about a month ago. I have had a handful in my life where I could control my actions but with this one I could even change my very environment around me. It was exactly like a holodeck. When I awoke I was excited I had it and told my pastor that morning about it. However I was in a strange state of mind that whole weekend. My pastor told me to be careful with it. To not be prideful and have it get to my head. And to also be careful about being in control. The whole point of our walks is to have God in control so we all have to be careful with that. Still. I somehow just have this deep down belief that I can talk to God in this dream state and have a real conversation like the people in the bible who have had visions. It is something I took a break from to re evaluate but will continue to pursue. A friend who prayed for me encouraged me that when this opportunity presents itself again I should ask God what he wants me to do next or where to go. To guide me and let me see his glory.
    Blessings friend!!!!!

  • No, I’m a Christian, and I’ve been experimenting with it. I’ve only ever had one. Dreaming is our subconscious…believe it or not it’s a part of who we really are, so it’s definitely not a demonic thing. It’s like a hobby. It’s the same thing as dreaming, only you’re aware that you are.

  • wow thats so ironic!
i think i just had one of those last night…..
and i just found out about this topic now..

well in my dream… tho it wasnt really demonic, there was some sinful
things in it.. but i actually felt like i was controlling what i was doing,
and then at the end of the dream i coulda sworn ive been at that place before or that i have dreamed of that place before like 5 years ago!

    God bless you too!

  • Demons?

When I was a little girl, I had constant terrifying nightmares. I prayed to understand how to get rid of them, fight them, or deal with them. One day I saw the movie “Dreamscapes” and, with the belief of a child, believed I could do that. So I tried. And I could.

Now, when I would have nightmares, when monsters and abusers and the things that really go bump in the night would attack me, I could face them and tell them to get behind me. I have control of my mind, no matter if I am asleep or if I am awake. I can look at the ‘bad’ content and push it out. I can change a dream so that it stays good.

I can’t consider this bad or evil. I simply can’t. Being able to take something that would have been terrifying and abusive to go through and changing it to something good… no, I can’t see that as evil.

  • oh no that is not demons!! it is just your imagination!!

i have dreams like this from time to time… like you can be dreaming about your dog and you think to yourself that you want your dog to catch the ball that you throw at him… and in your dream he will actually catch the ball in his mouth right after you have this thought!!

It’s really cool because you can sort of control your dreams when you are in this state.

Is there anything demonic about me wanting my dog to catch a ball in my dream? If it were demonic in some way, why would demons tell me to dream about my dog?

If imagination is demonic in some way, then our brains should all be replaced by computers and we should all never be allowed to have a single free thought again!!

    • The bible would only get us leaving the house brother. Our savior Jesus did not stay in his safe house he went out and became friends with the worst of sinners and healed the sick and loved the unlovable. His finished works written in the bible would only lead us to do more!

  • If it, in any way, involves communication, or contact, with so-called spirit forces… then in no way should any True Christian Be involved with it…

  • Make sure all of life’s experiences are in line with the doctrines of the Bible and you will never go wrong.

  • It sounds cool to me, and I am a Christian.

I do not believe it is at all demonic! Blessings to you!
