What are the best ways to help me focus? Meditation?

I am dyslexic and I have ADD. I have a hard time focusing in class and have a few issues socialing with people. For some reason I just zone out when someone is talking to me, and I have a really hard time focusing on what they are saying. I heard meditation can help with this, clearing my mind.

Meditation would help, and also yoga, which Chezzy suggested, would be a great help. You may find yoga easier, at least to begin with — you can look on it as a kind of moving meditation — but in the long run, meditation itself is what brings the most benefits for most people. You can start practicing meditation for just a few minutes at a time — but it is important to do every day. Then, as you get more comfortable with it, you can increase that time. yes,meditation increase concentration & your focus.meditation not only increase your focus,meditation can relief your stress to and make health body,mind and soul.

I have the exact same thing—>ADD. When you say dyslexic does it mean you sometimes skip over words? This gets me discouraged a lot….bc I want so bad to just respond naturally like others seem to. I guess we just need to practice. I am 19, i agree that school is definitely ea challenge. Email me plz if you find something that helps. =] But give yourself breaks….I know those are needed bc thinking about a way to “fix” it alot gets exhausting….so i try not to worry so much.
