Depends what poses, could be all of them. If you have a few specific poses, add additional details and I’ll help you out!

Hi,

Yoga works all muscles. The yoga poses were designs to work all body in all his possibilities.

You can check the book: “The Key Muscles of Yoga: Scientific Keys, Volume I”. This book have all about your project.

I agree with earlier posters that yoga can work all muscles, including deep fascia and things you didn’t know you had! It can build strength and flexibility, so is multi-facted in a way that other forms of exercises aren’t.

also, I agree with ruben that you should check out the books by Ray Long (of which “Key Muscles” is one, but they are all informative). They graphically highlight all of the muscles that are contracting or extending in each pose:

Use “look inside” to check out page 56 of The Key Poses of Yoga: Scientific Keys, Volume II which shows you how many muscles are in use in Tadasana, a pose that appears to be merely standing up.

It depends on what asanas you are using. As there are hundreds of asanas they all work out different muscle groups.

There is a wonderful book by Leslie Kaminoff called “Yoga Anatomy”, and it is perfect for what you are looking for. It highlights the most common asanas and tells you what muscles they stretch. They even have detailed pictures of it in the book.

Peace 🙂
