Really, I know it sounds tempting, but you don’t have a personal coach or someone who would know what to do if things would go south (went bad).
But if you really want to, you can do with meditation. It’s not exactly an astral projection, but it is a prerequisite for that.
You need a calm mind for astral projection, and with yours buzzing around, it wouldn’t happen.
Secondly, you have to be spiritually aware, and have a competent teacher. With that, I mean NO satanistic cults, and NO hogwash teachers, and NO drugs.
Thirdly, if you are still hard-headed enough and still want to do the projection, do it with someone that is experience in such things. Astral proection, even if it sounds easy, could be quite dangerous.
I recommend you that you wait on that, because if you are in just because it’s a fad, it’s not enough of a reason to risk your sanity.

Ive never done it before. I have been told by some friends that they had sleep paralysis when they dont sleep enough and start sleeping in chaotic random patterns. So I think that might up your ods. However I have heard other people say that you must be well rested to do astral projection because if you arent you are not going to be able to stay fully conscious when you drift into a lower conscious. Ive also heard you lift your hand up to keep yourself partially awake but thats a little hard to do. I think just drifting off into a day dream that takes place in the room you are in would work but just keep reminding yourself you are awake and let yourself drift asleep.
