I personally believe that inner beauty really counts for a lot when determining whether someone is beautiful. But speaking purely in terms of physical appearance, is it possible to be beautiful but not pretty? What I mean is that “pretty” seems to imply an appealing face but more in terms of sweetness or innocence, and this is the overall impression you also get from their mannerisms. But is it also possible that you find someone’s face very appealing (and would otherwise call them beautiful), but you would hesitate to call them pretty because they don’t have that innocent/sweet look or aura, or those sorts of mannerisms?
I’m not sure. But I think beautiful is something you would say to someone you know well. Like a boyfriend, a best friend, even your mother would say. But pretty is more like.. “Oh shes pretty”.
