If consciousness were something beyond the physical frame then why don’t we feel conscious about anything beyond our physical body ?

Whatever the truth is, it seems pretty clear that brain damage and brain surgery have very real and tangible effects on people.

There is the argument that the brain acts like a sophisticated radio for a remote source of consciousness, and maybe that is true, but I cannot help but believe that our identity and sense of self is inseparable from our physical self.
