If the devil/satan rules the world why he keeps us alive . Why doesn’t he (or she/it) kill all.
and as per Buddhism – see Kassaka Sutta – http://www.vipassana.com/canon/samyutta/sn4-19.php
Buddha says that the devil (called mara in Buddhism) has dominion over everything that we see with eyes , hear with ears , smell, touch, taste, feel in emotions and think in thoughts in mind .
Wolfechu – Remember we all are moving towards death at some point or another.
who do u think is stronger devil or God?????// ofcourse God, he is our creator ,,he created us, he created this world , he created angels now if God is greater and more powerful then devil..how can devil do something to us when God doesnt let him…….”Gods love is to big to us….he keeps devil away from us……
Dear Loved One.
This is a great question… The only power Satan has over us is the power we give him by being unaware and rebellious against God’s Truth!
When we deny God and we remain separated, not in communication with God and not seeking His Kingdom and Righteousness we are spiritually depriving ourselves of God’s protection. Whenever you see loss, death, and destruction you know that the enemy is at work.
John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”.
It is very important that we read, study and trust the word of God, so we will be very careful, then, how we live–not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore we should not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
Special Note: Many are spiritually dead and Satan’s demonic ways keep many in bondage to sin as they are unknowingly held captive by their fleshly desires and believe they are powerless.
This is why Satan is considered the Prince of Lies, the Great Deceiver. Satan does not have authority over God or God’s Children so he can not destroy us, He must act within the supernatural boundaries established by our Almighty Creator.
Everyday Satan is defeated by true Christian who know the power they possess through faith in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Before I became saved, Satan ruled over my life, but at my lowest point in life I heard the voice of God through the Holy Spirit as I was ministered to a full recovery, because I surrendered to the will of God.
I made a choice to seek God’s Righteousness and Jesus Christ became my Savior, and Satan can no longer defeat me, because Christ died for me so I may live and I have died in my old ways and I am made new and perfect through faith in my Lord and Savior who is my Champion!
God Blesses Us Always, Believe it and Receive it!
In Jesus Christ name. Amen!
“The devil” is conceptuality. Once you begin to compare and label phenomena, all conflict arises because soon follows a position to defend. “The devil” is not “mara” – the four “mara” is a phenomena like anything else. You probably wouldn’t get this right off the bat, but there are actually eight mara. Each mara has its conventional truth, it’s definition, characteristics, name, etc. but it also has its ultimate truth, that is, it comes into existence in dependence upon a collection of parts, is named “this”, performs “that” function and has “these” characteristics that help the mental consciousness perceiving it identify and differentiate “it” from something else. So, there are eight mara’s, aren’t there? These maras arise as afflictions and obstructions in our minds at this time. Consistently trying to isolate these more subtle mind states is what proves these maras to be mistaken views that obstruct our perception of the true nature of reality and thereby prevent our achieving happiness. No amount of knowledge alone can help you, it has to be coupled with practice of the various means of accomplishment to be actualized. These are like two wings of a bird. First you listen to the teaching, then you practice – analyzing a subject and trying to remain mentally absorbed on it until some stability and pliancy arises. Work in this way towards your ultimate goal and make progress. Not doing it like this will keep you circling in the round for countless eons! Know that you have the potential within you to do what needs to be done…but if you don’t find a Teacher who can show you the whole path, then this is kind of a problem. That is why it is said that a qualified Teacher is the source of all good qualities. Think of going on an expedition. You would find a guide for even this mundane pursuit, why would you think you can teach yourself these most profound subjects without someone with the experience to help you. You wouldn’t just start building houses all of a sudden declaring yourself to be a carpenter. You have to start where you are and uproot the very ego that is harmed by the maras. This is how this all fits together. And go slowly.
