How do you determine if your crystal ball is real or not?

I read somewhere that if you hold a tear drop from a chandelier in your fingers, it will get colder, unlike glass which would heat up. I was wondering if it is correct and if it was the same way to determine if a crystal ball is made of actual crystal. If this is false how do you know if your crystal ball isn’t glass or another material besides crystal.
For everyone who wrote really rude answers, I collect crystal balls, not look into the future with them. I wanted to know b/c I want them to be worth something if I want to sell them. And thank you to everyone who wasn’t rude about my question, it means a lot to me.
