Can you be a devout Christian and still incorporate Buddhist meditation practices & etc into your spirituality

Yes, Michael I am serious. Please dont make assumptions. I have in fact read the bible and studied it. Not merely one version, I would add.

I came from a Bhuddist background and have left it for Christ. Bhuddist based meditation/healing therapy/etc are based on philosophy that is devoid of God. If you are a devout Christian, then you must be aware of Principalities and Powers of darkness(aka Satan). These are out to deceive people so that they do not find Christ and therefore do not find Heaven. But they are also out to decieve Christians so that we become weak, burdened with much spiritual baggage, and completely ineffective in warfare and witness.

Pondering upon Christ and His Word, applying it to our lives and struggling to self deny so that we imitate Him more and more – This is all we need.

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
