Hi. I’m not a Christian, but I do study CM [including Christian Qabalah], and mysticism. I want to ask a couple of questions.
1. How do you reconcile yourself to your faiths anti-sorcery tenets?
2. How do you feel about the works of Aleister Crowley?
3. Do you have t hide the fact from other Christians to avoid ridicule?
Thanks, and if you are one, I’m not trying to be rude if I come off that way.
I would have no way of knowing the answers to you three questions but I can say no true christian makes it a point to become familiar with such folly. You see, it is a sin; Christians do not sin.
Your term is an oxymoron. If someone is a Christian, they do not practice magic or mysticism. The Bible is very explicit on this point.
Kabala ? Jewish, not Christian, there are no Christian mystics.
Alaster Crowley did Satan’s work.
Because it’s a contradiction, you cannot practice magic that is soliciting demons.
I understand the questions you are asking; I know of some Christian mystics locally, so yes, they certainly do exist. Unfortunately I can’t answer your questions myself, since I’m Wiccan. 🙂
I just wanted to counteract some of the rude and judgemental answers you’ve been getting so far. Have you considered checking out the Beliefnet.com forums?
You might be able to find someone there who can give you some input.
