  1. Buddhism is Buddhism; Taoism is Taoism. Different values. Different concepts. Different views. Let them agree to be different, and learn from each other. And they do. How nice !

  2. No. Yes sure can a Buddhist. It’s him/her to decide what to believe in. But doing that surely won’t come to the really lasting enlightenment.. I mean, Buddhism is never simple at all. Even the commonly used word ‘enlightenment’ is frequently mistaken/wrongly perceived by ‘Buddhist’ and people who believe it, it’s not simple at all.

  3. Buddhists do not engage in worship, though in some schools there are certain deities that are revered for particular qualities. But one needs to develop those qualities in oneself. I have a Kannon Bodhisattva statue on my altar which represents compassion – kind of just reminds me not to be a jerk. 🙂
Taoism is similar to the Samkhya philosophical school in India, which is incompatible with Buddhism, since it does not include dependent origination.

  4. Whats that supposed to mean- “Can”? If YOU can do it, then you “can”.
Are you asking if its against some kind of rules? What difference does it make. Why not worship what you want, and not worry about “can”?

  5. There is no restriction impose on the Buddhists to worship multiple Enlightened Beings and/or deities. Before I took up Falun Gong practice, I used to worship Guanyin, and different Buddhas. After I read the Zhaun Falun Lecture, I gain understanding about the merit of practicing in one discipline.
A good Buddhist disciple understands which paradise his path taking him. On page #50 in the Zhuan Falun Lecture on the web: “If you cultivate by following Pure Land, you go to Buddha Amitabha’s Western Paradise, and if you follow Bhaishajyaguru, you go to the Emerald World, …”
A Daoist reaching Enlightenment destines to Heaven but not to the Buddha’s paradise. In some extreme high Daoist practice, “He’ll be a roaming Immortal, with no fixed domain in Heaven.” (see page #94).
Falun Gong is a unique school combining Daoist and Buddhist practice, found in 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi in China. There are about 100 million followers, and most of them are in China. About 100 million people practice in over 80 countries worldwide. Falun Gong is an ancient practice for the body, mind, and spirit based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises. Meditation demonstration video and book are free to download from the URL listed below. If you need any help, contact a local practitioner in your area for free instructions.
Falun Gong, Tibetans, other Buddhists, and Christians have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China. Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?
