Practicing seeing auras?

I recently bought ‘8 ways to Tell your Fortune’ by Sarah Bartlett, and It says that a good exercise to help you become for susceptible to seeing auras is to sit in front of a mirror with a candle behind you, and the lights off, and if you focus enough you will eventually see your aura color. I’ve tried and tried this, but I’m not getting any more successful at seeing my own aura, or other peoples.
What is a better technique or exercise to do this?

  1. In my experience children and animals have this ability. You can’t really develop it. You either are gifted with it or you are not. Besides, what’s so thrilling about seeing auras?

  2. they have peripheral vision exercises online. those helped me SO MUCH. they are really bad for you so don’t do them everyday, but a couple times a week and it’s amazing how much it helps.

  3. The aura is like a kind of energy that radiates form your body. Everything has an aura, considering the movement of atoms and such is never perfectly still.
    If you rub your hands together for a few seconds and then put the tips of your middle fingers close together without touching against a flat, plain surface, you should see what looks like a tiny current going between the two. I’m not making this up, I’ve seen it.
    Doing this exercise can help you to see the field around others. I have a book titled “How to Read the Aura and Practice Psychometry, Telepathy, & Clairvoyance” by W.E. Butler that can help you more on the subject :).
