Ok, so is there a "spiritual" theory for what may happen during 2012?

I don’t believe the world is going to end. I think that’s pretty naive. I’ve read many new agers believe there could be a higher consciousness awakening or something. whatever that means. Does anyone have any of their own theories;

  1. well the idea that the world will end in 2012 comes from the aztecs who believed that the world had been destroyed 4 times before and in 2012 it will be destroyed again.
    my theory is that we will eventually destroy each other. with global warming and everything else i dont think the human world will last long enough. and according to scientists the world will end in a few million years after the sun goes out

  2. Its not supposed to be the end of the world but enlightenment. But the way our worlds headed who knows, 2012 could be the end.

  3. The 2012 theory is spread by people who have a vested interest in the Aztec culture. They write books that subscribe to the sensationalism and fear based knowledge that currently rules this planet in hopes of selling more. My calendar ends in December, would that tell someone who has never seen one that the world will end at this point?
    Through proper education and reading of alternative materials, you will soon find that cycles of peace and war will always continue with or without humans. But this arrives through a sound and peaceful proaction, not a scared and panic driven reaction.
    As for periods of enlightenment and religious fervor, well that all depends on the collective consciousness. As we all begin to fear something (Armageddon), that very thing will manifest. As we begin to focus effort on peace and harmony(Heaven), that too will be the result.

  4. End of the biogenic experiment reality program. We go back to being what we were formerly and assess what we have learned in regard to feelings and emotions.

  5. Yes I also believe we will go into a higher dimension. Most are having reactions to the rebirth of our planet as well. Mainly because of the light bodies. I also believe that we will have a polar shift. That wont be much fun but we can survive. Yes it is the end.. the end of everything as we know it. It will be pretty exciting. Im very excited for this day to occur. L&L.

  6. Not that I have heard.
    I think that 2012 is going to be just another year.
    Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.
    “But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come.” (Mark 13:32-33)
    Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.
    The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.
    The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus’ advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.
    Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.

    With love in Christ.
