need the meaning of this quote by Lao Tzu?

“For all things difficult to acquire, the intelligent man works with perseverance.”

  1. Only smart “men” realize that things that are difficult to attain are worth anything. Easily attainable things are not worth your time if you are intelligent.

  2. The most challenging things to get in our world are, for the smarter man, the greatest things to solve and fight for. For they have the greatest reward in the end.

  3. A similar quote would be by Winston Churchill, only it doesn’t include the acquirement of anything (other than victory) “If you’re going through hell…. keep going”.
It means that the smart man is going to keep working towards whatever it is (be it an object or an ideal) that is difficult to get hold of. People who are either idiots or lazy will just give up before the task is done.
