Mystical sensuality? Gods and Goddesses? Who travels the ecstatic path where the physical is the spiritual?

Tantra teaches us to become familiar with our mystical nature, and when we do so, our boundaries (sexual and otherwise) expand. We enter into new realms of awareness. We become empowered and more fulfilled — and the orgasms experienced in this state of consciousness are not just incredible, they’re explosive and potentially unending.
Tantric sex is meditative, spontaneous and very intimate lovemaking. You learn to prolong the act of making love and to focus on, rather than dispel, potent orgasmic energies moving through you, thereby raising the level of your consciousness. Tantra transports sexuality from simply doing to actually being. There is no end goal in Tantric sex, only the present moment of an ideal, harmonious union. Tantra teaches you to worship your sexual partner and to transform the act of sex into a sacrament of love.
Ktron: Definite proof you are alive. : )
KitKat: I’ll roll out the red carpet. : )
Rev. Sarah: I think you do practice, it is all about raising the sexual energy. : )
Lyra: ~YES~ True completeness and wholeness……….. what are you doing tonight? : )
Lyra: OK great, 6,500 miles is just a drop of water between us, we’ll have a beautiful child together.
C. C.: You have read other questions and answers on here right?
P.J. : I run into that kind of thinking all the time, it is of the masses. Sexuality and Spirituality aren’t just connected they are the same thing. : )

  1. Not sure what the question is in this, but I am glad to see someone who has actually gotten past the initial information about Tantra.
I do not practice, but have always tried to see Deity in my lover, my husband. Of course, HE is convinced that he is a god anyway, but the point remains. This is how he and I raise sex to become love. It is the energy we wind around ur realtionship to keep it lively, alive and sacred.
Come to think of it, this is a very intimate and immediate way to experience God in Other, or as a Christian could say, to experience Jesus in another person.
Wonder if you will get reasonable answers!

  2. Watch people do their most common actions; these are indeed the things that will tell you the real character of a great person.

  3. Truly, how could it be any other way? Being in the present moment and experiencing so fully the physical, in love, enables one to become so expanded energetically through the physical domain, during lovemaking, that both do become transformed and transported through, and beyond, all senses and into the all vibrationary realms of beingness. Such heightened sensations brings those lovers into complete union, oneness, where there is no possible separation. Call it bliss, call it wondrous…..it is beautiful to experience.
Dances………considering that there are 6,500 miles between us, physically, we could meet up in our expanded energy……..as the light, the magical child, if you’d like.

  4. Wow….I am familiar with all that you have said….just didn’t know it had a name….Tantric Sex…..I like it that we found it naturally….

  5. “…where the physical is the spiritual…”
I’m curious… is this ever misunderstood?
I mean… while I have an empirical understanding and awareness of tantra, I have never “practiced” it (“officially”). But i hear such words, like the ones I have quoted above, and I tend to feel that the experiential understanding that one places upon such words might be the difference between night and day… (or maybe I should say, between mind and heart) 😉
    Is this true?

  6. nice to know people still have that respect for sex
I thought it died, you have a very good understanding of tantra, lovely really

  7. Physical love savored is an expression of the divine.
Odd that a Christian would comment about this?
A comprehensive look at Christian tenements reveals that this physical life is a reflection of the spirit that drives us all. One of the reasons physical intimacy is so guarded in the Christian faith is that it is, as you have pointed out, supremely moving as a spiritual power, affecting every aspect of our existence. Among mortal actions, there is no greater actualization of God’s love than that physical act between a man and wife, and there is no greater crime than those physical acts perpetuated as a perversion of what should be a reflection of supreme spiritual truth.
Our lives – every aspect of them – are tied to the spirit which moves us all, and so our physical awareness can be expanded to touch the spiritual. While I may not agree with your cosmology, I do heartily agree with the principle of sex being both a physical and spiritual experience.

  8. Kali, it seems to me you have some sort of an
idea that links sex and spirituality… I’ve heard
of that before… it’s not new… but I have to tell
you, in my ever-so-humble opinion, there is
    absolutley zero connection there, darlin’.
