This is so cute: I got in an email and I’m sure it will get deleted I just wanted to share because I’m sure you moms can realte to some of the things!
Dear Santa from Mommy
I’ve been a good mom all year. I’ve fed, cleaned and cuddled my children on demand, visited the doctor’s office more than my doctor and sold endless items for the PTA to raise money for who knows what. I was hoping you could spread my list out over several Christmases, since I had to write this letter with my daughter’s red crayon, on the back of a receipt in the laundry room between cycles, and who knows when I’ll find anymore free time in the next 12 years.
Here are my Christmas wishes:
I’d like a pair of legs that don’t ache (in any color, except purple, which I already have)
arms that don’t hurt or flap in the breeze, but are strong enough to pull my screaming child out of the candy aisle in the grocery store.
I’d also like a waist, since I lost mine somewhere in the seventh month of my last pregnancy.
If you’re hauling big ticket items this year I’d like:
fingerprint resistant windows and a radio that only plays adult music,
a television that doesn’t broadcast any programs containing talking animals or smart mouthed teenagers, and a refrigerator with a secret compartment behind the crisper where I can hide to talk on the phone. I won’t even ask for privacy to do my bathroom business! On the practical side, I could use a talking doll that says, ‘Yes, Mommy’ to boost my parental confidence, along with two kids who don’t fight and three pairs of jeans that will zip all the way up without the use of power tools.I could also use a recording of Tibetan monks chanting “Don’t eat in the living room”, “Take your hands off your sister” and “Don’t call your sister toothless” because my voice seems to be just out of my children’s hearing range and can only be heard by the dog.If it’s too late to find any of these products, I’d settle for enough time to brush my teeth and comb my hair in the same morning, or the luxury of eating food warmer than room temperature without it being served in a Styrofoam container. If you don’t mind, I could also use a few Christmas miracles to brighten the holiday season.
Would it be too much trouble to declare ketchup a vegetable? It will clear my conscience immensely. It would be helpful if you could coerce my children to help around the house without demanding paymentas if they were the bosses of an organized crime family or rolling their eyes and whining.
Well, Santa, the buzzer on the dryer is calling and my six year old saw my feet under the laundry room door. I think she wants her crayon back. Have a safe trip and remember to leave your wet boots by the door and come in and dry off so you don’t catch cold. Help yourself to cookies on the table but don’t eat too many or leave crumbs on the carpet. Oh forget it…no one else in the house does this so why would I expect you to?
Yours Always, A MOM…
P.S. One more thing…you can cancel all my requests if you can keep my children young enough to believe in Santa
LC ~ I couldn’t agree with you more! When I read the last part about keeping the kids little I almost cried!

  1. I absolutely love this. I copied and pasted it to an email here so I could keep it.
    Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. That is adorable! When I read the last part, I did cry.
I’m going to try to save this before Scrooge deletes it.

  3. Super cute…although I am excited about Christmas, this wave of panic has hit me, thinking these years are going to fly by, and soon my kids WON’T be young enough to believe. It makes me a little sad that these days are passing by so quickly.

Meditation and Labyrinths

Some people confuse labyrinths with mazes, but it's not a maze. It is more of a meditation that is in walking form. Let me explain. The labyrinth has a pathway that you walk in order to reach the center but it goes round and round, back and forth, until you reach the center. The key is to take slow steps and just walk towards the center; taking your time and following your breath.

Osho Sufi Whirling Meditation

Whirling meditation is an technique that will liberate you from the mundane world, it is an active form of meditation that centers the mind and body within minutes.Whirling meditation has many benefits. It enables you to temporarily severe the hold the mundane world has on you. It allows you to build energy that focus in on your heart center and opens communication with the divine. When you are no longer whirling, you make a true connection with the earth as you disperse the energy that built up inside of you back into the soil. The low impact exercise of Whirling will keep you slim and full of energy when done on a regular basis.
