Microdermabrasion and Glycolic peel? anyone recommend?

has anyone had a course of Microdermabrasion and Glycolic peel treatments (Professionally i.e done at clinics)
im thinking of having a course of 6 together in an attemp to get rid of acne scarring,
the Microdermabrasion is using the Diamond wand, (not the crystals) and the peel is 20%.
anyone already done this, or something simular, is it really worth it at £300 / $500
thanks for the advice,

  1. That is so expensive and useless in my opinion.
I have major scarring on my face and I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed me Accutane which is to fight acne and clearing the glands but it also works on acne scarring after working on the acne if you have any.
Accutane is a prescribed drug because it is a serious, powerful, and kind of a strange drug.
Do research on google if you want and then make an appointment with a dermatologist first and if they don’t prescribe Accutane then mention it and see what they say.

  2. I did some diamond dermabrasion at my spa, it helped but I have severe scarring. My dermatologist recommended peels and whatnot. However, if you were on any prescribed acne medications make sure your Dr knows, some can increase the risk of scarring even months after you’ve stopped taking it.

  3. Normally done with crystals, diamond microdermabrasion allows you to get a complete skin treatment. The eyes and mouth area cannot be treated with a crystal microdermabrasion but can with the diamonds. This is because instead of blasting the crystals into the skin, little diamonds are attached to the applicator itself and you simply gently rub this applicator on your face to exfoliate your skin. Then you vacuum the dead skin cells away for a clean face.
