Is this bad? at the same time, i still dont want to pick one?

Please, try not to judge me too harsh. I have always believed in Shamanism/Wicca but…lately, i have been “praying” to God. I have been feeling that there is a God and that he was Jesus. At the same time, i still believe in shamanism and Wicca. Is this bad? Some say i cannot believe in more than one religion…but, there must be a way to believe in all of them?

  1. Wicca is heavily involved in witchcraft which the Bible condemns and tells us to stay away from because it is of the devil.

  2. I believe you would want to check out the Universalists. It is my understanding (and someone correct me if I’m wrong) that they hold to no specific deity or belief.
There are other groups who, while being fundamentally Christian, also recognize that there is truth in all religions and that some hold to more of the truth than others.
Edit Add: I find it ironic that my response draws a TD instead of someone posting a correction to my statement.

  3. Your belief system is up to you. There is no right and wrong way to believe, despite what over religious people will tell you. Believing in more than one religion often helps you understand things a bit better, atleast that how its affected me. I dont study deeply into any religion, but I do know that no one has the right to tell you how to believe.

  4. I practiced Wicca when I was younger, and was a practicing Mahayana Buddhist for nearly 25 years. I still think some of the teachings from those religions helped to shape quite a few of the good decisions I’ve made in life, but my decision to follow Jesus Christ by far supersedes all of the philosophies and religions I once used to make important life decisions.

  5. People have a bad habit of putting labels on everything. Let go of formalities, and just believe what you want to.

  6. Just do whatever you want. You don’t have to listen to anyone when it comes to what you believe and disbelieve in, and just because you believe in a god, you don’t have to think that he wrote a book that had all the info in it, or accurate info or that he wrote anything at all. After all, everyone thinks that what they think is true…for the most part.

  7. (1 Corinthians 10:20-21) No; but I say that the things which the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I do not want YOU to become sharers with the demons. 21 YOU cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons; YOU cannot be partaking of “the table of Jehovah” and the table of demons.
(Matthew 7:13-14) “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.
It is in vain to do both….so you might as well chose. Ask yourself who will bring you and your offspring lasting benefits. It is only one true God Psalms 83:18. And for the record his name is not Jesus. Jesus is God’s only begotten son.
Best regards in your quest for wisdom and insight…… (James 1:5-8) So, if any one of YOU is lacking in wisdom, let him keep on asking God, for he gives generously to all and without reproaching; and it will be given him. 6Â But let him keep on asking in faith, not doubting at all, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind and blown about. 7Â In fact, let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from Jehovah; 8Â he is an indecisive man, unsteady in all his ways.
Edit* I know you are very well aware what wicca represent….it is rooted in Paganism. Pagans do not worship God infact many are Satanist…which is why I shared the first scripture.
It is like saying you want to serve God while worshiping Satan. However the bible tells us who God is and what expects of us. He tells us what is going to happen to those who are enemies/worshiping his enemy….(Nahum 1:2) Jehovah is a God exacting exclusive devotion and taking vengeance; Jehovah is taking vengeance and is disposed to rage. Jehovah is taking vengeance against his adversaries, and he is resentful toward his enemies.
My answer will always be scriptural…I hope you are looking for truth from God’s word, that is what really matters…Always remember that many on yahoo answers will give you their opinions (supporting you) however, what is wise in man’s eyes is foolishness with God.
    Again best regards,
    Sincerely D

  8. There is only one God. There is only one true religion. There is only one way to Heaven. Jesus died on a cross for our sins. There is no other name under heaven whereby we can be saved. God is a jealous God. God will Not be our Father and let us live in sin also. You have to decide are you going to follow Jesus or something else. I don’t really know about Wicca and Shamanism, but God has always existed, and he wants us to follow Christ. All these other religions are man made. Christianity is God made.

  9. There is only one true God and Jesus is his son. You cannot follow opposing spiritual beliefs.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.
(Psalm 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
(John 20:17) Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.’”
John 20:30-31) To be sure, Jesus performed many other signs also before the disciples, which are not written down in this scroll. 31Â But these have been written down that YOU may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that, because of believing, YOU may have life by means of his name.
(2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1) . . .Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? 15 Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Be”²li”§al? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God; just as God said: “I shall reside among them and walk among [them], and I shall be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 “‘Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take YOU in.’” 18 “‘And I shall be a father to YOU, and YOU will be sons and daughters to me,’ says Jehovah the Almighty.” 7”‚Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear.
(Revelation 18:2) And he cried out with a strong voice, saying: “She has fallen! Babylon the Great has fallen, and she has become a dwelling place of demons and a lurking place of every unclean exhalation and a lurking place of every unclean and hated bird!
(Revelation 18:4) And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues.
