Is the evidence for human beings living on after death real?

With all the paranormal activity, and Near death experiences going on in the world today, do you think that the evidence for consciousness surviving bodily death is, but paranormal believers really dont know where to look to find it, or even present this evidence?

  • One has to look no farther then your own back porch (for me) I seen my dear dead dogs spirit one day in 2007. She came back to see me to let me know it was real. There is life after death, but I told her to do it and I know my God heard me and let me see her.

    peace~

  • The buddhist have spent millenia researching what happens to us on and after death. They have come to the conclusion we are reincarnated. There are many thousands of recorded, documented cases, with no other reasonable conclusion.

The OBE’s are astral travel, where your body has died but you are still consciously aware. Some report floating above the room and watching and listening to what is going on around them. Others report going to a scary or nice place.

There are a few cases were patients have been wire up during heart transplant operations and they have been clinically dead for some time. And the patient has decanted conversations between the theater crew in great detail. Word for word. The patient was brain dead according to the equipment.

There must be something in all that. But I can guarantee you it won’t be anything like the Christian, Islamic, Jewish version of events. 🙂

    Practicing Shaman… quantum physics rocks.

  • Living after death is an oxymoron from a human standpoint. From a Christian standpoint Jesus promises believers new bodies and eternal life after the shell of this mortal life dies.

  • Einstein proved that energy cannot be destroyed or created, but only changes form.
So if our “souls, spirits, consciousness” whatever is a form of energy, then it must go somewhere, or change into something when we die.

I think that we can only see certain forms of energy like light, because of the limitations of our eyes and brain, but we know that infra-red and ultraviolet light exist beyond the visual spectrum, because we can measure it. Well what about light beyond that? Maybe some people can “see” spectral energy because they have a unique ability.
There are certain photographic techniques for instance that can picture a person’s “aura” after they’ve left the room. Maybe spectral energy is like that.

I just don’t think it’s worth wasting a lot of time and effort pursuing these phenomenon. What can be gained by it really?

  • The living are conscious that they will die but the dead are conscious of nothing at all. (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
From dust you are and to dust you will return. (Genesis 3:19)

  • “Paranormal activity” (of which there is none of) doesn’t automatically mean, “oh, humans must have an afterlife.”

    That’s illogical thinking.

  • I seem to recall reading something in popular science awhile back… about a german research firm who was tracking an EM field leaving people’s body and flying off toward some nebula when they died.

    I’ll try to find it…
