I’ve been studying of Taoism as of late and I was wondering if it’s represented as a religion to people around the world. Kind of like Christianity, Islam, and what not.
Taoism is still practiced, but Taoists don’t proselytize. There are quite a few Taoist temples in California.

Taoism isn’t one of the “big 3” Judeo-Christian religions but it’s reach has still been spread around the world and all are welcome to practice it.

Since China outlawed religion it has lost popularity in it’s homeland but there are still people who practice it since it’s so entrenched in Chinese culture, and there is a large following in the west too.
