I wish to become a theravada Buddhist monk in Sri Lanka , any help , contact would be grealty appreciated
Is it possible to obtain a meditation visa like in birma ? and immigrate there
Are foreign people accepted ?
Do they follow the precept , like Siddhartha spoke about them
Exemple = Collect the food with the bowl , eat one time a day
Any monasteries with a good reputation , they follow the pure dhamma , good for foreign westerner and so on
I know they live in poverty , I want to live in a theravadine population where people like in union with the buddhist monks. Poverty is essential for a monk
You cannot posses money , trade , buy , sell , You cannot cook , ask for food

This article (link below) gives a very thorough description of what it’s like to live as a monk in Sri Lanka (basically, you must be prepared to be quite independent). It was written in 2005 and is quite detailed — an excellent resource.
The article contains listings of centers that accept Westerners, descriptions of these centers, and directions to them.

If you’re serious about practice as a Buddhist monk. You can practice Falun Gong locally in a temple or monastary.
In the section “Buddhist Qigong and Buddhism” of the Zhuan Falun Lecture on the web , you can find out a concise discussion about the topics.
‘What Shakyamuni taught was called “Precept, Concentration, Wisdom.” ‘ in Buddhism see page #178 for details.
Not relating to Buddhism, Falun Gong is a unique Buddhist School. Falun Gong is based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises.
Falun Gong, Tibetans, other Buddhists, and Christians have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China.
